Dr. Jason A. Walters is an Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in Sports Medicine. Dr. Walters received a full academic scholarship to Florida A&M University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then went on to earn his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington D.C. He completed his Orthopedic Surgical residency at Howard University Hospital. He then was selected for the Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During his fellowship he was able to provide expert, personalized care for professional sports teams, such as the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, as well as international organizations such as USA Rugby, colleges such as Slippery Rock University and the Community College of Allegheny County, and numerous area high schools.
Dr. Walters specializes in Orthopedic Sport Medicine which includes shoulder, knee, elbow, and the foot. Dr. Walters’ professional interests include injury prevention, cartilage restoration, joint preservation, ligament reconstruction and shoulder arthroscopy. He is one of the few surgeons in the Dallas Fort Worth area who specializes in Subchondroplasty. Dr. Walters is the official team doctor for the Dallas Rugby Football Club and the Shelton School in Dallas. Dr. Walters is an avid athlete who enjoys golf, running, and triathlon training in his spare time.

My appointment was rescheduled by phone after setting with ZocDoc, none of the forms or information I sent through ZocDoc came through, so I had to fill everything out again. On top of that, the wait was over 45 minutes with no explanation or apology and they couldn't get my name spelled correctly even using the paperwork and ID I gave.

Dr. Walters is an excellent physician. He takes his time to make sure you understand what is going on and what treatment is recommended. A surgeon not in a rush to do surgery, will look at other options first. I'm very pleased with Dr. Walters and all his staff. They are all wonderful.
