I am one of the founders and directors of NYCBT, a private practice specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Our team at NYCBT is comprised of dedicated, compassionate therapists whose mission is to help our community of clients address the challenges in their lives. We offer a range of services including individual therapy, DBT skills training groups, and a comprehensive DBT program.
I utilize behavioral interventions and treatments when working with adults, adolescents and their parents, families, and couples, often teaching this material in an interactive group format. I currently work in both New York City and San Diego, CA, where I see clients at the DBT Center of San Diego, and provide telehealth services and executive coaching to individuals and companies domestically and around the world. I was an Adjunct Clinical Supervisor in both Columbia University’s and Yeshiva University’s psychology graduate programs, and in this capacity still provide supervision and training to other therapists and psychology graduate students.
Prior to co-founding NYCBT, I spent the better part of a decade working at a private group practice in midtown Manhattan specializing in CBT and DBT. I completed my doctorate at Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf School of Psychology, where my research looked at psychological resilience and factors that contribute to overall well-being following traumatic events (focusing on Holocaust Survivors), and completed my clinical internship at the Manhattan VA Hospital. I was also the Director of Corporate Solutions for wayForward, a Health and Wellness app-based program aimed at reducing anxiety and stress worldwide.
