Getting to know Mickey Field

As a native New Yorker, I take a strengths-based, practical approach to help college students and professionals manage stress, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. Together we build confidence, clarity, and healthier ways of moving through challenges. Even better, we won't just talk about your problems. You'll gain practical tools to better handle your life and relationships, while gaining more control over negative thinking and emotional overload. As a couples therapist, I specialize in relationship therapy for straight and queer couples managing infidelity, open relationships, polyamory, intimacy issues, and life transitions. I believe all couples deserve thoughtful, affirming care within a non-judgmental, no-nonsense approach that honors the complexity of their relational dynamics without pathologizing their choices.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I use evidence-based approaches like CBT and ACT to target problematic thoughts, feelings and behaviors getting in the way of your success at work, school and in relationships. Therapy with me is direct, active and collaborative.
