Very quick, very helpful staff all around. First time trying contacts for me, so I needed a little extra time to learn how to get them on and off. They were very patient with me and offered up a lot of advice. If my eyes had cooperated with me and not blinked constantly, I would've been out of there even faster.

The space is open and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and extremely efficient. The exam was thorough and pleasant. The rooms are spacious, clean and welcoming. I was very pleased from beginning to end and highly recommend this office.

Dr. Ainley is a native Rhode Islander and received his BS with distinction in Zoology from the University of Rhode Island in 1996 and later his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in May 2000. After graduation Dr. Ainley joined the United States Navy and served as a Lieutenant in the Medical Service Corps.
Dr. Ainley later joined the practice of Ocean State Eye Care in the summer of 2005. Currently Dr. Ainley currently serves as an Affiliated Clinical Professor with the New England College of Optometry.
Dr. Ainley specializes in all aspects of family eye care. He fits contact lenses of all types including kerataconus, toric, Mini Scleral, RGP and Syneregeyes. Dr. Ainley serves as a clinical investigator for contact lens research studies of new lens materials and care products.

Dr. Ainley was professional, kind, and spent plenty of time talking with me about my current glasses/contacts and what options I could consider to address my complaints. He ended up recommending a product that I am very happy with. Additionally, all of the other employees in the office were also very nice and competent. I was thoroughly satisfied by my appointment, and plan to return to his office in the future. I definitely recommend him.

Dr. Ainley in fact took me a few minutes early, all the information I had sent online was received and already in my paperwork. He was lovely and instilled confidence and the office staff and assistants were just as nice. I will keep going to Dr. Ainley from now on. Thank you.

Visit was great! Dr. Ainley was attentive to my needs and extremely knowledgable as well as friendly. I would highly recommend this office to anyone. Even the girls in the front office were super friendly & knowledgable. Extremely comfortable setting!
