About Dr. Chad Belanger

Chad Belanger, B.S., O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Nicolls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Upon graduation, he received many awards, including the Most Outstanding Student in the Department of Optometry. Dr. Belanger joined our Sidney office in September 2018. He has practiced in Zachary, Louisiana, since he graduated from optometry school in 2003. Dr. Belanger resides in Oneonta with his family. His wife, Shannon, is from Fort Edward, New York, and is also an optometrist. They have three children. Abby loves softball and horses, and twins Brynn and Beau, love their dog, Lulu. Dr. Belanger and his family are thrilled to be in the community and look forward to providing eye care services for years to come.
