He's my new dermatologist. Easy to get to, easy to park. The office process worked well. The wait was short. His manner was friendly and informative. Trying to think of something to balance all the positive, but it wasn't there. Overall, a very positive experience.

After residency, Dr. Ellis spent an additional year in training, where he completed a fellowship in Mohs Surgery. Dr. Ellis is currently the Director of Dermatological Surgery at North Shore/ Long island Jewish Hospital.

He's straight up & to the point and I appreciate that. He gives me honest feedback and after seeing the results over these past few months, I really trust him. I've been getting compliments on my skin and it's all due to being under his care. Two thumbs up!

I saw Dr. Ellis because I was very concerned about a mole that had recently changed dramatically. The receptionist was extremely grumpy, snappy, and didn't smile once. After waiting for over an hour, Dr. Ellis spoke with me for about two seconds before making his diagnosis (he said the mole looked fine). When I asked him to go ahead and remove it, he started going through the motions and I had to be the one to ask him to please explain what he was doing as he did it. He did not, and I had to ask my boyfriend who was in the room what was happening and he was the one who told me when the procedure was over. Overall - poor communication skills and bedside manner, and seemed arrogant and rushed for time.

My visit to Dr Ellis's office went very well, I would recommend him to anyone looking for a highly qualified dermotologist with a professional and caring attitude.

He was very professional and easy to talk to. He promptly introduced himself, shook my hand, and spent about 20 minutes with me to just talk about what was going on with my acne.
He listened patiently (I did a lot of talking) about my concerns and past experiences with dermatologists before jumping in.
He was very assuring and explained my options to me. I really appreciated that he wasn't quick to push products and procedures on me like others had in the past. I felt that he was very honest.
Overall, an excellent first experience with Dr. Ellis!
