Dr. Goldstein is a graduate of Upstate Medical School in Syracuse. He went on to complete his surgical internship at New York University Hospital. He received his orthopedic surgery training at NYU/Hospital for Joint Diseases in Manhattan.
He has specialty interests in treating sports related injuries. To further this he participated in a sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery fellowship in Philadelphia where he treated professional, collegiate, and high school athletes. In addition to being an on field physician for a local high school football team, he currently cares for many local college, high school and recreational sports participants.
Dr. Goldstein is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and a Member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. His practice involves the treatment of many types of injuries and conditions with both operative and non-operative techniques in a wide spectrum of patients including athletes and non athletes. He also dedicates time to treating veterans at the VA hospital and is involved in training the Stony Brook University residents.
Dr. Goldstein has surgical expertise in the latest arthroscopic techniques and has a specific focus on shoulder and knee conditions. He also cares for many general orthopedic conditions including surgical and nonsurgical treatment of fractures and conditions affecting the upper and lower extremities.

The consultation went well. X-rays were taken and reviewed. I was provided with treatment options. I was asked how I wished to proceed and was provided with a referral for PT. Follow up scheduled for 3 weeks.
Paperwork and all of the above took about one and a half hours. Overall I was extremely pleased with the speed of service and professional treatment received.
