Well respected for his work in Mohs micrographic controlled excision for skin cancers, the most effective technique for the removal of problem skin cancers, Jeffrey H. Binstock, M.D. is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and is a UCSF Fellowship Trained Mohs Surgeon. Dr. Binstock serves as a Volunteer, Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of California San Francisco and is a fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American College for Mohs Surgery, and the American Academy of Dermatology.
A pioneer in the field of liposuction and laser surgery, Dr. Binstock is a highly skilled dermatologic and cosmetic surgeon. Dr. Binstock’s practice is dedicated to providing patients with excellence in skin rejuvenation and reconstructive procedures in an elegant and comfortable environment.
One of the first surgeons to perform liposuction in America, Dr. Binstock trained in Paris with the procedure’s inventors, Dr. Yves-Gerard Illouz and Dr. Pierre Fournier. He incorporated liposuction into his practice in 1983, and has successfully performed thousands of procedures for satisfied patients over the past 25+ years with an outstanding safety record.
Dr. Binstock’s practice also includes the comprehensive treatment of premature aging and wrinkling of the skin, sun damage, and skin cancer. Treatments for these conditions include all aspects of laser and fractional laser skin rejuvenation, dermal filling agents, botulinum muscle relaxers, volumetric and biostimulatory fillers, liposuction, lipo (fat) transfer, eyelid lifts, and Mohs surgery for skin cancer. Dr. Binstock strives to improve the overall appearance and health of the skin for his patients.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this office. Not only did they not send me a heads up (as a new patient) that the office would be closing in a month, but the NP I saw for a few minutes at most, is leaving the practice. I had a list of questions for the NP of which she answered none of and only then alerted me that she was leaving the practice and the office was closing anyways, as opposed to receiving a heads up ahead of the appointment from the office. The office staff was not very friendly, the office was difficult to locate and it felt like my time and resources were wasted on a useless appointment. Now I have to start the search for a new dermatologist all over again which could've been saved by receiving one message from the office as a heads up, ahead of my appointment.

His staff is amazingly kind and friendly. I did a biopsy and when I got the results I was a little apprehensive I called the office and a few hours later the doctor called me back and informed me clearly about my case, calming me down and gave me the certainty that I am in excellent hands . Very happy with my choice !!!

I think the front desk team is so welcoming and kind. I was lost and they assisted me in finding the office - no problem. I LOVED the follow up I received once I made the appointment. And I was in and out in 45 minutes. My procedure was painless and I was very nervous about it so that was comforting. I did ask for a card to refer a co-worker and am happy to refer anyone who needs a dermatologist or the type of care this office provides..

He was rude when I tried to point out an irritation on the back of my neck because I couldn't see it. I think he realized he was rude, but I won't be going back. Plus, it was expensive and I was surprised my insurance would only cover half of it. Not his fault, but added to the less than stellar experience.

This review is based on a very short first checkup. Dr. Binstock asked about my history, my family's history. He checked me over, pointed out a few moles, very quickly excised one for a biopsy, and left me to get dressed.
I have never been to a dermatologist, but relative to other doctors I've had, Dr. Binstock was polite and very efficient. The mole removal stung a little but was over quickly. There wasn't a lot of waiting for the appointment or chit chat once it finished. Overall Jefferey came across as a seasoned veteran and I'll definitely be a regular patient.
