Dr. Monika Chock is a graduate of Stanford University, where she earned her medical degree. She went on to complete her residency in dermatology at the same institute. Before her residency training, she completed an internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. She is a detail-oriented dermatologist and currently practices at Berman Skin Institute located in Palo Alto and Pleasanton, CA.
Dr. Chock is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She is committed to providing excellent medical care and individualizing it to suit each person’s needs. She is a zealous researcher with authorial credits in numerous esteemed publications.

I was not happy with the appointment because the doctor didn’t give me a clear explanation on her diagnosis of my issue. I asked basic questions and was not satisfied with her answer. It felt like she wanted to rush through the appointment and not actually help me with a solution but instead just said to get on medication. I felt like she didn’t care about my concerns (hair loss) and quickly examined to get to the next patient.

I made a last minute appt. today w/ Dr. Chock for a skin issue I’m currently experiencing. I’ve been to this office before & had a great experience.
I checked in & only waited for about 5 minutes to be seen. Dr. Chock was very attentive & listened to my concerns I’m having. She looked at my skin thoroughly & gave me a diagnosis and treatment plan - which put my mind at ease b/c I wasn’t sure what I was going through.
Thank you for a great experience! I’ll always recommend this establishment.

THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS A GOOD ONE HOWEVER AS A SENIO IT WAS DIFFICULT TO COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION ON THE IPHONE SO ASKED FOR A PAPER VERSION INSTEAD. THAT TOOK 20 MINUTES TO COMPLETE. PERHAPS MY HUSBAND COULD HAVE DONE THAT ALLAT HOME WHEN SENDING IN THE SCAN OF THE INSURANCE DOCUMENTS

The doctor was knowledgeable. Had a good discussion about the reasons for my condition. The assistant was not that friendly. Blamed me for not adding medications on their online form, which in fact I had added online, but their system didn't show. Only thing that comes to mind is it would have been great if the doctor would have sat down with me. All the consultation was done with her standing. That made me feel that I should hurry up and finish as soon as possible. Feels a bit intimidating.

Dr. Chock is very friendly and patient to address my concern and questions during the visit. The one thing I was not satisfied is her assistant. He was very impatient to listen and rush for all procedures, with lack of knowledge and attitude. I was left alone in the treating room for 20 minutes under cold temperature before Dr Chock came, with clothes taken off for skin check.

I came in for a consultation about a persistent eye rash, and Dr. Chock took the time to explain all the potential reasons and treatment for my rash. I had many questions, and she was very friendly, concise, and informative. I also asked her about my acne, and she was very open to discussing acne treatments, even though I came in primarily for the eye rash. I feel much more relieved and plan on seeing her again. Great experience with Dr. Chock and also the rest of the staff! Highly recommend.

I had never been to a dermatologist before but had persistent dry skin on my nose for the last 5 years. Dr. Chock immediately identified that it was precancerous and removed it during my first appointment. It was such a relief to get it treated right away. I will definitely be seeing her again.

This wasnt a full check up, just a look at some specific moles I was worried about. She was very knowledgeable and respectful, and super friendly, which is something I find important in a doctor. I felt much better after talking to her and will definitely schedule my annual with her from now on.
