Dr. Jennifer Capla is a plastic surgeon based in NYC, board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is one of a few plastic surgeons fellowship-trained in body contouring after weight loss surgery, with a leading pioneer in the field. Her specialized training qualifies her to perform the latest surgical techniques in a safe fashion while optimizing results. Dr. Capla graduated cum laude from Columbia College and received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, graduating with honors. Following medical school, she trained at the world-renowned Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Capla contributes to the advancement of the field, performing both basic science and clinical research. She has published over 15 articles in peer-reviewed journals and recently authored a chapter of Body Contouring and Liposuction, 1st Edition (El Sevier, 2013). She has earned prestigious awards, including the highly competitive Gingrass Award from Plastic Surgery Research Council.
