Dr. Jerry Tsong is a board certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained in medical retina. He sees patients for routine eye exams, emergency visits, and complicated retinal consultation.
Jerry graduated MIT in the top 5% of his class with a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering. He then graduated Harvard Medical School with an M.D. degree. Jerry completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and residency at The George Washington University Medical Center, where he was named Chief Resident. He also completed a fellowship in medical retinal at the world-renowned Doheny Eye Institute in Los Angeles.
Jerry specializes in the treatment of complex retinal disorders such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular diseases, vitreous floaters, and retinal tears. Jerry has published original research in leading medical journals such as Retina and Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science. In addition, he has written a book chapter on wet AMD.
Jerry understands that having an eye problem can be scary and frightening, so he makes every effort to treat his patients with compassion and understanding. Jerry has been recognized repeatedly by receiving the "Patient's Choice Award" and "Compassionate Doctor Award."
Jerry is an active participant in the local community and often volunteers to promote public awareness about eye health. He has been featured on "Spotlight on Medicine", the weekly WGCH radio show hosted by Tony Savino. Jerry's family is originally from Taiwan and he speaks Mandarin Chinese.

Great doctor! Very smart, funny, friendly and truly cares about his patient. Gave very good information. My son went with me to the visit and he was engaging and chatting with my son who is 6 years old. He even showed him a model of the eye. Great visit and definitely recommend him!

Staff at G.O. was very friendly and helpful. Waited for about 5-10 minutes before I was called. I did a full eye exam and it was very quick and Dr. Tsong was fantastic...I was done with the exam and picked out new frames in less than 45 minutes. I saw Dr. Tsong last year for an emergency as I work here in Greenwich and needed to see someone ASAP, (my other eye doctor was in Fairfield) and I was so impressed with him, I switched to his practice.
