My older brother with special needs had a cataract in his left eye so I had made a appointment with Dr. Wu. Due to my brother's diagnoses of severe mental retardation and cerebral palsy, medical related appointments are extremely difficult and he usually gets frustrated before the end of the session. Dr. Wu was very helpful and understanding of my brother's situation and remained professional throughout the appointment. He even said Bye to my brother at the end of the appointment (most usually ignore him since he's non-verbal). I was given a referral to a reputable specialty hospital in the area that was well suited to my brother's needs. I highly recommend Dr. Wu for patients looking for an opthalmologist.
?????? 5 stars for Dr Alexander Wu, easy to communicate. ?????? 5 stars for Jennifer for the patience exlaining the referral and the trouble for speaking to my primary doctor. It was busy today and I don't have to wait and just signatures for related papers that I file with Zocdoc. ?????????????????
This was my second time I visited Dr. Wu. Both time he show excellent patient skills and explain all procedures so you understand. I have many medical problems and he asks questions very discrete and in a professional way so you feel very comfortable to talk to him about very personal medical issues. He also takes time so you never feel stressed during your visit.
Professional and courteous. Highly recommend.
Staffs are slow. Filled paper work online still made me fill again which is not big deal but that was also after an hour waiting! !.wow! ! Really crowed and congested place.
Clean office. Friendly staffs. Knowledgeable and patient doctor
As always, Dr. Wu was very professional and answered all my questions. I admit I am a difficult patient and he showed no signs of frustration. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my vision.
It was O.k. The dr was good too crowded and waiting room stunk
The wait time was not too much for a first time patient but the doctor was a bit rude and stand-offish towards me. I don't know why he couldn't be nicer while I was blinking because that is a natural reflex when something is too close to your eyeball! he did do the necessary tests and I think I will not go back to him because I have come across nicer eye doctors.
Great visit. Well informed. Provided me with additional information and time to think about my procedure. Highly recommend.
Satisfied with the doctor
The wait time for my appointment was not long at all. By the time I completed my patient intake forms, I was called in for my eye exams. All exams were performed pretty quickly/efficiently and I was done in a reasonable amount of time. After my exams, Dr. Wu discussed my results with me and made recommendations. I also saw Dr. Wu briefly before my eye exams and he was able to answer all of my questions. Dr. Wu has a dry sense of humor, which is fine, because I am the same way. Prices weren't outrageous.
Took my concerns seriously when I told him why I was switching doctors - thank you!
The doctor didn't let me feel he cared about my questions. I asked couple of times that how to prevent and take care my eyes, he finally answered me after gave me the prescription. And he didn't give me the instruction how to use the eye drops. Awful experience!
Good visit experience
He was a little impatient explaining about how I should move for the eye exam. I'm not sure whether it was because I couldn't hear him clearly. Other than that, he seemed professional.
He was great with my daughter, wish he would smile more because it made him even more friendly.
Great Doctor, the staff was very patient and professional as well.
He is professional and excellent Barry
The people who check you in are so rude. They barely speak English. I waited 2 hours. What's the point of having an appointment? A lot of people already waiting. I asked for my prescription so unprofessional. Never gave my PD Measure. I needed it to order my glasses. So I called them because I needed the measure, kept my on hold for hours. This happened 3 more times. Never got it till this day. It's been over a month and I still can't order my glasses.
Wait is typical of any Chinatown-based doctor (especially for a popular doctor), which is at least 30-45 minutes IF you have an appointment. This is the reality but does that make it acceptable? Probably not. Dr. Wu appears confident and gave me a clear diagnosis with a promising intervention. I suppose that comes naturally with his "formidable intellect." Seriously, did he write that about himself? Whether his treatment will resolve my eye issues remain to be seen but I have high hopes.
Waited almost two hours and got treated badly. Very impatient doctor. Didnt want to explain anything. Just sent you to do a bunch of tests and gave some eye drops. Didn't even bother to explain what's wrong with my eyes, what are the tests for and what the eye drops are for. I would definitely avoid coming again!
Dr. Wu was great. Very professional and answered all of my questions
always a crowded office, which means the doctor is good.
Very nice and clean office, counter and assistant staffs are very nice(very Good management). If you make a appointment be prepare some time to wait for excellent check up. Both Doctor are work very hard to get to their patients. It is a recommend Top eye care Doctor and office. Good job Wu Eye Care. Thank you.
Visit was great and doc was very nice. Wait time was long had a 3 o'clock appt , arrived at 2:40 didn't leave till 4:45 ..
I am very satisfied with care I got there.I am glad that I pick this place.
Been coming here for most of my life. Used to see the father, but Alex takes care of the appointments now. Very professional
Trying to find the location was a bit of a challenge but once inside i had to refill out he forms i filled out on ZocDoc and then i was seen rather quickly i kept waiting between different things. He tested for everything and was very polite.
They recently renovated and it looks great! Dr. Wu was very informative and patient as always.
very professional. Everything was done on a timely manner.
It was very informative
The wait time was horrible. However, it was worth the wait.
It was a great experince and everything was great!
Easy, available appointments, but expect a wait of about 45 minutes before you are seen. Dr. Wu was cordial, a bit cocky, but knowledgeable. Will be following up in a few weeks, so hopefully my eyes will get better by then with eye drops he prescribed.
He's a nice doctor. However, I expected more mostly, after reading all the reviews. People in his office are nice too. Although, I couldn't understand them at times, but I'd still make another appointment because my first experience wasn't too bad. The office needs more waiting chairs though.
Wonderful Dr. !
Excellent Doctor, Excellent visit !
Small but clean clinic, new equipment, wait time was about 1 hr, but maybe because i was new patient. Highly recommend.
I liked the dr. But the wait was 11/2 hours. Longer than I would've liked. Told I have narrow angle glaucoma n need laser surgery. Going for second opinion
Very professional nice doctor and staff. Answered all my questions excellently.
Busy office, but everyone was polite and helpful a bit of a wait .
He is very professional. Glad I found him.
The waiting room was very crowded when I arrived, but there were multiple receptionists working to make sure everyone was checked in and taken care of. Dr Wu was extremely thorough with me. I went as an emergency because I had lost vision in my eye for a short period of time. He did multiple tests, listened to my story/family history and I never felt rushed. They definitely need a bigger office though. I had to take one of my tests basically in a hallway with people moving around me. I would go back to see Dr Wu.
He repaired my retinal tear painlessly in one visit.
Busy place and the staff kinda rude but Dr. Wu seems pretty good and professional
I observed that staff were friendly & Cooperative and help me to filling the form. Doctor is great. He is very gentle, polite having positive attitude towards patients. In overall It was a great visit.
Great office team and Dr. Wu was excellent. Overall, the experience using ZocDoc.com was an absolute pleasure.
I was impressed with the courtesy and professionalism of the staff as soon as I entered the office. I found Dr. Wu knowledgeable and thorough. He diagnosed me quickly and answered all of my questions. Even though the waiting room was quite full when I arrived, I was seen in 35 minutes. I liked everything about this practice and even though I wish I did not have to go back to follow up on my problem, I don't mind going back to such a well run office.
My best zocdoc appt yet, highly reccomend
Waiting is way too long but professionally they are good. Would go back there? depends on my second visit.
Front desk personnel were not very friendly. Even with appointment till waited for about 1 hour.
I loved the staff, they were more friendlier than the actual doctor himself. They were really nice to my son. The doctor looked bored and irritated to be in the same room with me and my children. Never smiled. As a profesional that he is i think that he should at least greet the patient with a smile. Apart from that he was a good doctor, gave me and my son eye drops for allergies. He looked at my eyes wrote my prescription for glasses asked me if i was sometimes itchy and gave me another one for eyedrops and quickly took a look at my son. I didnt really like him, made me feel uncomfortable
Good. No complaints.
Went well but the wait was almost an hour which is the only downside of it. Dr. Wu took his time to examine my eyes without rushing.
Dr. Wu is very professional, kind and patient. He took very good care of me & my parents, we will definitely be back to see him for future care. Thanks again to all the front desk & office staff, you guys are great!
Fast, efficient. Knew what he was talking about. Speaks Mandarin.
he is very professional, and very easy too talk to.
Great doctor. Very professional
Muy malo. Lo asen. Esperar. Por 4 horas y nunca atienden
Wait time is always over an hour and a half, and actual time with the doctor is always professional but very very short, and basically not worth your time in this office. Order of patients seen seems to be arbitrary at best.
I thought that he was an excellent doctor with a great bedside manner.
Waiting time was a little long, but common for doctor's lately. The time actually spent with the doctor was about 5 minutes. He seemed bored and not "too concerned", but still friendly and willing to answer any questions.
The exam was very thorough. I went thru exams I never took and the Dr was very polite and informative.
Dr Alexander Wu is professional and he has thorough knolwedge in his field. Thank u Dr Wu.
His nice and very polite ...
Thanks very good
It was a great experince, everything was great, answer all my question and got me out the door quick.
Very professional. Nice guy. would definitely recommend .
