Patient reviews for Dr. Alexander Wu
The doctor has very poor communication skills. He barely explained anything to me after I went through a series tests. I had no clue what those tests were for. There was no findings after the test. however, the doctor recommended me to get laser surgery to prevent glaucoma.
Great Dr. very busy office but efficient. Hard to find location upstairs in complex full of small doctors offices. Bilingual staff and clientele. Kind people. Efficient. Fair. Good service. Reliable. Would return.
The office was quite busy but staffs were professional. Dr. Alex was nice and patient to provide his advices and answered my questions.
I had asked for more testing because I felt my eyes are failing. So my totally appointment including wait time was almost 2 hours. Dr. Wu is very thorough though and now I have peace of mind.
HIS BEHAVIOR VERY RUDE HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO BEHAVE WITH PATIENT AND PEOPLE.
Very thorough and patient. Definitely a great experience. Will return for sure.
I see Dr. Wu every six months due to diabetes. As always the office is very organized. In my case I see Dr. Wu and then I have to do 3 tests after these test I see Dr. Wu for the results of the tests. The whole system is very organized and make the visit very quick. Dr. Wu also take the time to listen and explain the answers until he’s sure you understand everything before you leave the office. Overall an excellent doctor
Arrived earlier than my set appointment time and had my initial tests start early. Dr. Wu and staff were very friendly and answered all questions I had about tests or provided helpful details of said tests. Would definitely recommend friends and family to book an appointment with Dr. Wu on Zocdoc!
My visit was very plasent with dr wu,my son was comfortable and told me he like that doctor very much.
The young doc is little rush but his staff are attentive.
Overcrowded. Assistants inside the office do not give clear instructions on what the patient needs to do when they perform your automated vision exams and hand over the results to the Dr. The Dr's bedside manner was ok, I didn't feel he was very thorough and as a result, I have not returned.
The staff; especially Jennifer, were really helpful and made me feel at home. Dr. Alex Wu was congenial and explained everything to me. I would highly recommend this good doctor.
As always takes the time to explain the test results so u fully understand before u leave the office
The 1st visit I was waiting for 2.5 hours to see the Dr. Alexander Wu, then finally when I got to see the Dr., he only had time to check on my eye for 5 minutes and didn't say too much, didn't give good advices because the front desk obviously overbooked the appointments so he had no time to check carefully what's wrong with my eye! That was 6 months ago and my eye still have problems now! Going back this office, this time I changed my appointment to Dr. Chia-Der Wu, who is Alexander's father. This time, after I checked in and had been waiting for an hour, suddenly the two old ladies of the front desk told me that I should come back another day because they were fully booked with very bad attitudes even though that was their fault. If they overbooked the appointments they really should let patients know about that, they should tell me before I made the trip to their office so I didn't have to waste half of my day for nothing! They have no shame in disrespecting peoples time. The front desk were really unprofessional, disgusting, horrible and they could care less about the patient!!!
Staff is always friendly. Already accustomed to the wait time to be longer than the actual appointment. It was only an annual check up anyway. NO food and drink allowed inside. Bring headphones and listen to music while waiting.
Doctor deny to talk for understanding about problem
Wait times are horrible regardless of appointment as they always seem to overbook. Be prepared to wait at least an hour to see the doctor unless you are lucky. Seemed more concerned about rushing me out of the exam room and to have me book a follow up appointment in two weeks than explaining treatment/diagnosis.
Dr. Wu is great, seeing better than 20/20 after my PRK surgery.
Dr. Alexander Wu is a very skilled eye surgeon. He has the latest testing and treating equipment. His office is busy - a sign he is in high demand - and is very well run. He is someone you can trust your vision to. Staff is very professional. Highly recommended.
Very Professional. Excellent Office Staff. Very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this this Dr. and office. I was taken immediately and put through multiple tests 4 in total. Total time from walking in to exit. about 1:30 minutes. Understand this was my first visit to this office and I had to go through preliminary forms, multiple tests and explanation of results. Follow up visit in 1 month. Great Experience.
Quick and serious! Needs a little smile ??
He is great very aware of all medical concerns the office is pretty busy but he is worth the wait. They are closed on Sunday and Friday and have late hours on one day but overall I like going here
As usual the office of Dr Wu is very well staffed and organized. The biggest advantage with this office is that all tests are done on site. I saw Dr Wu 2 times between test plus a 3rd time after the last test for my results. Can highly recommend Dr Wu and his office.
The only thing that was annoying was dealing with the staffs at the front desk. They were not exactly professional. I had asked one simple question 3x at the front desk and they all ignored me which is quite rude. Other than that, my overall experience was good and I would recommend Dr. Wu and his team to a friend!
The doctor is not patient at all. Won't go there anymore!
the wait time is usually very long there (about an hour) but the doc is knowledgeble and knows what he is talking about
Dr. Wu's office was busy but very efficient. He & his staff were very professional & I would highly recommend them.
My older brother with special needs had a cataract in his left eye so I had made a appointment with Dr. Wu. Due to my brother's diagnoses of severe mental retardation and cerebral palsy, medical related appointments are extremely difficult and he usually gets frustrated before the end of the session. Dr. Wu was very helpful and understanding of my brother's situation and remained professional throughout the appointment. He even said Bye to my brother at the end of the appointment (most usually ignore him since he's non-verbal). I was given a referral to a reputable specialty hospital in the area that was well suited to my brother's needs. I highly recommend Dr. Wu for patients looking for an opthalmologist.
?????? 5 stars for Dr Alexander Wu, easy to communicate. ?????? 5 stars for Jennifer for the patience exlaining the referral and the trouble for speaking to my primary doctor. It was busy today and I don't have to wait and just signatures for related papers that I file with Zocdoc. ?????????????????
He was a little impatient explaining about how I should move for the eye exam. I'm not sure whether it was because I couldn't hear him clearly. Other than that, he seemed professional.
This was my second time I visited Dr. Wu. Both time he show excellent patient skills and explain all procedures so you understand. I have many medical problems and he asks questions very discrete and in a professional way so you feel very comfortable to talk to him about very personal medical issues. He also takes time so you never feel stressed during your visit.
Professional and courteous. Highly recommend.
Staffs are slow. Filled paper work online still made me fill again which is not big deal but that was also after an hour waiting! !.wow! ! Really crowed and congested place.
Clean office. Friendly staffs. Knowledgeable and patient doctor
As always, Dr. Wu was very professional and answered all my questions. I admit I am a difficult patient and he showed no signs of frustration. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my vision.
It was O.k. The dr was good too crowded and waiting room stunk
The wait time was not too much for a first time patient but the doctor was a bit rude and stand-offish towards me. I don't know why he couldn't be nicer while I was blinking because that is a natural reflex when something is too close to your eyeball! he did do the necessary tests and I think I will not go back to him because I have come across nicer eye doctors.
Great visit. Well informed. Provided me with additional information and time to think about my procedure. Highly recommend.
Satisfied with the doctor
Took my concerns seriously when I told him why I was switching doctors - thank you!
The doctor didn't let me feel he cared about my questions. I asked couple of times that how to prevent and take care my eyes, he finally answered me after gave me the prescription. And he didn't give me the instruction how to use the eye drops. Awful experience!
Good visit experience
He was great with my daughter, wish he would smile more because it made him even more friendly.
Great Doctor, the staff was very patient and professional as well.
He is professional and excellent Barry
Been coming here for most of my life. Used to see the father, but Alex takes care of the appointments now. Very professional
