I booked an appointment with Dr. Savage through ZocDoc. I got to the office, signed in, filled out some paperwork, then waited for half an hour before being asked if I had an appointment. I said I had booked one through ZocDoc. The receptionist said they don't really book through ZocDoc, so I was basically a walk-in to them, and that the wait was 5 or 6 hours, so I could come back that evening. So they have a listing on ZocDoc to bring in traffic, but don't honor appointments scheduled through it? No thanks.
2 hours late/wait WITH appointment.
He was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful.
overall satisfactory, but Dr. Savage - is a bit hard to understand - went on many tangents that distracted from important info - and was unable to see me until 45+ mins after schedule
very informative! i learned how to properly blow my nose and prevent UTIs on planes! a little hard to understand with the accent and fast speech, but defnitely very friendly, helpful and caring.
Great guy. Little eccentric but it made the visit enjoyable even though I felt like death. Will be back to see him whenever I'm sick.
Dr. Jim Savage is quite the character. I had two visits with him; during the first I waited 1 hour to be seen. His mind jumped all over the place and I could very clearly sense he was rushed. He talks extraordinarily fast so it was difficult to catch information, and he made strange assumptions about my lifestyle to explain my diagnosis. What was positive was that in my follow up appointment, he did go through and explain each of my test results one by one, which was both interesting and clarifying. Unfortunately these explanations were sprinkled with very off putting statements like "fall a few times and you'll die" "With this diagnosis, over time you'd definitely die" etc. He also started a tangential conversation about why humans should have tails, and why Chinese websites are clearly superior. What really topped the whole thing off was going to the pharmacy the following day to pick up my medication, finding out the prescription had never been sent by the nurse, and frantically calling the doctor to fax it over. I asked if it had been an accident or problem with the hardware. No. Silly me. The staff just never sent it. In summary, Dr. Jim Savage is an overbooked doctor with a disorganized staff. He is clearly intelligent, but his bedside manner needs to be improved before I would ever recommend someone to him.
Dr. Savage is the best! Highly recommend him to everyone I know.
hes the hardest working person i know and i am so so so SOO pleased he is my doctor. he's amazing whether im overseas on a business trip or just suddenly sick. he's been around for what must be decades, so he's definitely experienced and knowledgable and practical. he's the only doctor in his practice and he works tirelessly, long days and weekends. seriously, can't recommend him enough.
Found to be unprofessional. OK if urgent appointment needed but if you are looking for a long term primary care doc - look elsewhere
Best dr ever! I love this man. Helped me within 2 visits, after 10 years and multiple other Drs of torture not knowing why I get migraines.
I am from Europe and this was my first visit with the doctor in the US. Dr Savage (as well as his staff) were very professional and provided all that I needed! Highly recommendable!
Dr. Savage was great, he was very knowledgeable and provided an in depth explanation of everything. He quickly diagnosed me and made me feel comfortable that he knew what he was doing based on the detailed explanations he provided. He's also a pretty unique guy and interesting to talk to.
he gave me some good information about traveling abroad but could also go off on a tangent that I didn't understand
He was extremely unprofessional, late, and was unable to come up with a diagnosis (alongside being somewhat rude.) Worst experience I've had with a doctor to date.
Had to wait over an hour but as soon as I met Jim I understood why. Very caring and funny man. Took the time to explain my medical issue in detail as well as wax philosophical about politics and biology. Will definitely be sticking with him - I just hope the wait wont be so long next time.
DR savage was great. However I waited 45 minutes for 5 min with him. I made very clear on the phone that I was tight for time, was told it would be 10-15 min when I arrived and was continually told "just 10 more min" until lo and behold it was 45 min later and I was ushered in the room to wait for him.
What a hoot! Dr. Savage was funny, personable and he showed me a way to blow my nose that changed my life. I will be using him as my primary care from now on if I can
I was a charged about 5x more for my procedure than I had been charged at other doctors. Definitely wish I had asked ahead of time about how much it would cost.
Dr Savage is really funny, and more importantly, his breadth of knowledge is huge. Really appreciate his care. Only downside is occasional long waits.
I went in for a flu shot, and wasn't even sure if Dr Savage was in to answer some other questions I had. The whole experience was fine, but there was an icy vibe in the office. This is definitely an office for tourists who are sick, and I would not recommend as a normal doctors visit. Also they had a ton of paperwork for me to fill out even though I was just getting a shot and nothing else. Over all a very "meh" experience. Would go back for a flu shot but nothing more.
Conflicted, the doctor is very nice, insightful, and helpful. He provides good advice and doesn't make you take and do take unnecessary meds or do unnecessary procedures, so he has my trust there. However, my wait time was over an hour and judging by the other reviews, it seems to be a systemic issue.
Knowledgeable and works hard to relate to patients.
Incredibly attentive, helpful beyond measure As to my concerns and how best to take immediate steps to ensure a long healthy Life starting today, based upon empirical as well as scientifically documented data,,,, ,,,his enthusiasm for the the promotion of my health and well being Maybe eclipsing even my own!'
He was great, but honestly I waited about an hour before getting a room and then another 10-15 in the room. He was smart, funny, knowledgeable, and kind but the wait was obnoxious.
Good guy, pleasant to talk to and well informed. The extreme wait time was unacceptable.
Very unprofessional. Office called 45 minutes before appointment to say that doctor was going to be one hour late to the appointment. Doctor had terrible bedside manner. Office staff was rude and not efficient at communicating with doctor or patient. Worst of all, the bathroom was outside of the office down the hall and up the stairs. In order to submit a urine sample, one must carry their sample through the halls outside of the office and through the lobby without any privacy.
Super nice. Smart. Polite. I have found my doctor. Finally.
the doctor was great and down to earth
Absolutely terrible office staff, no insight into how long the wait would be, what the wait was for, or when I would actually be seen. Staff never sent the doctor referral via email they promised to send.
Fun and Educational.
Dr. Savage was a really great man and made my doctor's visit much more interesting. Though I waited a little longer than I would have liked, it is a doctor's office so that is a given. Dr. Savage walked me through my allergy issues and gave me tips and tricks to making my life easier. Visiting this doctor's office was like going back to school: Dr. Savage really made sure I understood what was wrong with me and explained preventive measures thoroughly. His receptionist was very kind also and printed out all the instructions and recommendations in case I did not remember everything I was told. Dr. Savage definitely took his time with me to make sure I got the most of my appointment. I will definitely be coming back :)
Awesome guy, great doctor. Funny.
Would not recommend Dr. Savage and will never be going back -- 1.5 hr wait when I was the only patient, seemingly lack of knowledge on the condition for which I was seeing him, and almost incomprehensible diatribes that were unrelated to my questions
Casual and comfortable
Very knowledgeable and friendly
He's a bit unconventional but friendly. He took the time to explain things and emphasized preventative care, which I appreciated. It was a longer exam than I expected, but I liked that he was thorough. His office didn't do any follow ups with me though, which I would have liked since he asked me to take several tests.
The wait time was over an hour but that's to be expected when you're a last minute appointment. Dr Savage listened to my problem, offered constructive advice and prescribed appropriately. Exactly what I needed!
2 hours of waiting before getting seen? are they actually taking the time of appointment booked on zoc doc in consideration???? RIDICULOUS nobody treated me like this... this is insane
Takes time to explain everything in detail. Very thorough!
I like the doc, but the wait is obnoxiously long every single time, typically 45 minutes or more.
Waited forever. Hard to understand what Dr. Savage was saying sometimes. Smart with unique advice but a little all over the place.
Dr. Savage is a great doctor and does a great job connecting with patients. He takes the time to understand what is going on and is extremely detailed in his discussion and analysis. Thanks doc!
Felt like the office was setup for people on vacation who needed to see a doctor about something. Direct, efficient, solved my issue; but isn't really someone I'd want to consider for my Primary.
It was exactly what I needed. Third time I have gone to him. He is a little quirky but thats a good thing in my book. He gives me the antibiotics I need when I am sick and he doesn't mess around.
He totally solved my problem, and he gave very vivid explanations of how the body works.
Jim was awesome. For this visit he couldn't help me directly, but he & his staff made sure he found someone who could immediately. Same day! Thanks Guys!
Great doctor with good energy; explained everything to me and even gave me life advice.
he's hilarious. i've since made him my primary care physician and try to see him whenever i have any problems...
He's an awesome Doctor but the wait is horrible. This is the second time my appointment has been rescheduled for later in the day and I still find myself waiting a long time.
I have been to this office twice, and each time I've had to wait at least 30 minutes after my schedule appointment time to see the doctor. They have also rescheduled me every time I booked. Not a great experience.
I visited this physician to get some annual tests run and because I needed a GP's referral for a specialist, and Dr. Savage was completely insensitive when I explained that I recently attacked. He also told me that my shelf life was running out in reference to my age and that I'm single. It was a horrifying experience.
Dr. Savage is great. He's very personable and he always explains exactly what he's looking for and the science behind the medicine.
Dr. Savage has been my primary care doctor for 14 years. He is terrific! He is thorough, he possesses exceptional knowledge and as far as my own personal medical history, he has been flawless with my care and follow up! Thank you for all your wonderful care for all these years, Dr. Savage!
Took excellent care of me
It was truly Bazaar. He made some off-putting comments and was generally difficult to be around. I just wanted to have my sickness discussed, but he ranted on all sorts of topics.
Dr Savage is a kind and gentle Physician who take the time to explain the body and its functions in a thorough and patient manner. The first time ever anyone explained the interdependence of all the organs and how they all need to be in balance to function properly. I would recommend Dr Savage highly especially for people who need an appointment on a weekend. I would nevcer have know about such a wonderful service that Dr Savage and his team provides without Zocdoc.
Everything was fantastic besides the wait.
Wonderful visit with a knowledgeable professional. No BS, no time wasted, great short term tips and long term advice. Couldn't be happier I went to Dr. Savage.
Dr Savage was fun! He was very upbeat and really easy to talk to.
I think it was wonderful Dr. Savage took time to explain fully my illness and decided not to unnecessarily make me go through diagnostic tests.
He was very informative and I felt very comfortable with him. I will be seeing him for any future issues and highly recommend him.
It was pretty awful. Waited for over an hour just to get into the patient room. The doctor, though talkative and friendly, spent little time listening to my medical concerns or giving me any sort of physical examination. I was making him my primary and he did not give me an exam - pretty poor.
Straight talking Doctor, just how I like it. Highly recommended. Only drawback is wait times
Great doctor, very helpful and caring and easy to talk to.
I got in quickly and he did a fine job removing my stitches, but he took forever to do so because he kept pausing to tell me about his childhood, how messed up China was or something America should be doing differently. It was more of a lecturing than a conversation.
He's the best, usually doesn't take this long to be seen (was about 50mins this time) but he explained that the Flu has been going around and he got backed up. Great Doctor, highly recommend and will continue to go see.
Very nice dr. with good bedside manner. Practical and no-nonsense approach to things. Would visit again!
Good and most professional.
Practical, funny, likeable guy who had good advice to dispense about my situation, and was careful to check me over for any signs of issues beyond what I requested.
Dr. Savage was nice and knowledgable, though I would say he definitely is not the kind of doctor that I'm used to seeing. That's not a bad thing. He's pretty proactive in making sure you get the right care. He tends to make jokes that may be taken as off color, but to be honest he means no harm by it.
Very inappropriate and I would not go back.
Personable doctor, puts in the time to make sure you're getting the proper diagnosis.
It was a good visit, he seems very confident with his diagnosis. We'll see after the treatment if I feel better or not
thorough, efficient, friendly!
Dr. Savage is extremely intelligent, efficient, and easy to talk to. He asked me all the right questions and very quickly zeroed in on the root causes of my symptoms. He also explained why my symptoms appeared as a result of the underlying causes, which was really interesting!
Fantastic. He was professional, personable, and oddly comforting. I am an RN, an therefore very picky. I will be back in 10 days, as he recommended. Wonderdfull!!
Fantastic doctor, holistic approach
Dr Savage is knowledgeable and good at explaining his diagnoses. But he goes off on too many tangents and sometimes speaks too quickly. But I trust his medical opinion.
A good doctor if you're traveling or need to see someone in a pinch.
Receptionists weren't friendly, but Dr. Jim Savage was nice.
Dr. Savage is fantastic. He was very personable and very in tune with his patients. It is hard to find a doctor who actually dedicates time to their patients. Dr. Savage is a rare gem.
Great doctor, convenient location, lots of times available - only downside was the wait time, and that was because it seems their focus is on travelers.
He's very good and thorough. Definitely recommend.
He quickly figured out what was going on and really put my mind at ease. Great to get an appointment on Saturday and all the staff was friendly.
Great visit, ended up waiting about an hour unfortunately. will go back though
Not blown away by the length of time left waiting in a room. The staff were very helpful, clear and accommodating. Place was clean and well equipped.
Although I rarely visit doctors, Dr. Savage is quite possibly one of the best out there.
Dr. Savage was thorough in his explanation and I felt comfortable, despite being in a doctor's office.
Dr. Savage is awesome!
He's easygoing, disarming, and makes you feel comfortable. Very knowledgable/committed, but seemed to rush a bit at times.
Dr. Savage, is extremely nice and helpful, not to mention extremely hilarious! He is very much so, straight to the point. As for the waiting times, it truly depends on the day. I've gone in and waited for around 15 mins to as long as an hour to see the doctor. Generally however, I usually wait less than 30 mins total. Many tourists also seem to visit to Dr. Savage, so this may play a factor into the wait times. I would recommend however, that if you have a serious problem that seeing a specialist may be most helpful (even by-passing Dr. Savage). For instance, if you have an ear infection or more serious ear problem, I highly recommend that you visit an ENT specialist v. seeing a family physician or internist. Overall, that said, Dr. Savage is incredibly helpful!
Dr. Jim Savage, MD was more than eager to inform me fully of my ailments and how to alleviate them. He was kind, courteous and informative.
Dr. Savage is hands down the best doctor I have seen in San Francisco.
Dr. Savage was awesome! I would highly recommend him, and I will continue to see him as my primary care physician.
Informative and pleasant
Jim is the man. Coolest doctor I've ever had. Very knowledgeable, professional, and available. Highly recommended.
Dr. Savage expressed sincere concern for my condition and was surprised at the lack of concern and follow-up previous doctors had expressed. I originally injured my knee a year ago; despite constant re-injury and the obvious fact that it wasn't healing, the two other doctor's I'd seen were rather dismissive. Dr. Savage was the first to refer me to an orthopedics doctor for x-rays and an MRI. Turns out, it looks like I'll need surgery for an injury that isn't likely to heal on its own. Thanks, Dr. Savage, for listening!
It was alright. The wait was slow, and I felt like by waiting in the waiting room I was going to get sick
Great doctor, friendly and helpful albeit a bit slow.
Long wait but Dr. Savage was good.
It was great, he's an awesome doctor and great guy. The wait time was long because his office was swamped. I went in for a preventative STD test and found out two hours later that I would have to come back the next day to go to the lab. ARGH. This is not Dr. Savage's fault, just the rampant inconveniences of Blue Cross of CA.
he's great for sure! but be prepared to wait for about 20 mins to 30 mins to get you attended after you arrive.
He's unconventional but effective
Great guy, very personable. Would like to make his office the destination for my next visit.
Very knowledgeable and thorough. Really made an effort to get to know me and make life/health recommendations to make sure I stay healthy!
he's a good doctor. he taught me what i could do to prevent from coming back with what i came in with. a little too irrational saying how i should drop my dream major because it simply does not make money.
Very professional, informative, straightforward. Everything I am looking from a doctor.
Doctor Savage is excellent and takes the time to explain in details your condition and work with you on viable plans to improve your health. However one of his assistants I interfaced with over the last 2 visits is really unpleasant to talk to and has very little consideration which I am sure will put many patients in an uncomfortable situation. That is a drawback and unfortunately is a negative point that impairs the overall experience of the appointment / visit process.
Very friendly and full of suggestions to improve your health and well being in a natural way.
Dr. Savage's office is mainly for travelers, I would suggest you to go see a real doctor who is not so booked up and have staff that actually helps.
Great doctor. Seemed like he really cared about my needs. Would recommend
I made an appointment for 1 p.m. but was not seen until 1:45 p.m. Seemed like a long wait for a scheduled appointment.
fun guy; super fast and efficient
He was extremely rude and accused me of lying about my medical background when he was actually reading the wrong papers. Then, instead of apologizing after his mistake was pointed out by a nurse, he continued to be extremely rude to everyone in the office.
Great doctor, very smart and practical
To be honest I Jim is a good guy but its just not exactly what you're looking for from a doc. He goes into details that aren't relevant and skips over questions that you ask with little attention. He means well and is a nice guy.
Love this guy..can be straight up with him
Dr. Savage was super friendly and really cut to the chase. No BS from him, which I totally appreciate. Took the time to check up but also give some advice (that's actually followable). Cheers!
I was the only patient there, yet I have to wait for 40 minutes. Came earlier to get paperwork done too. Was bored out of my mind in the room alone waiting for 40 minutes. The reviews were right about the wait time. He is personable and i would give him another chance but if the wait is more than 30 minutes long again, i would probably have to pass.
Very pleasant and informative Explained procedures well Exceptional hours of availability Convenient location
The very personable and outgoing and very experienced doctor gave quality time and advice given even though the office was very busy at lunchtime. His assistant at the front desk was very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and resourceful.
Most pleasant and educational doctor's visit! Great bedside manner, great doctor!
top class, clearly knows his stuff and great character to boot. highly recommend.
Although the wait was long, I had booked the appointment day-of, during the lunch rush, and I was able to go out and get a sandwich for lunch while I was waiting.
Dr. Savage was fast, direct, and to the point. I went in for an order for tests and got the order I needed.
Very knowledge-able doctor, gave me the right medicine and know of my symptoms right away. That's all you really need, right?
Super smart and personable. Highly recommend.
Used unprofessional language and medical terms, which made me feel uncomfortable. However, he gave good recommendations.
Had a great experience, was very knowledgable about how to fix the problems at hand and ensure they don't come back in the future.
Probably won't be back!
Nice staff and great Dr.
He was very busy but able tospend quality timewith me
Good doc, open on weekends, friendly and explains what's going on with your body
I just saw this doctor for the first time this morning since he was the only physician available on a Sunday, and I'm so glad I did! No wait time, very thorough with his explanations of things, and recommended a combination of treatments to help my condition both immediately and going forward for the next few months. I highly recommend him.
Very knowledgeable- I am a medical student and learned something from seeing him! Waited about 20 minutes after my appointment time, but very efficient once I was seen.
Very Proffessional, I feel confident in his ability. Definitely recomend him.
Very personable and knowledgeable, spent good non rushed quality time to explain all details of my condition, and made sure I understood and asked questions and share information on all aspects of my health. The woman at the front desk reception was very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful.
This practice is awesome. I feel the wait time can be improved, however, I would recommend.
Listens well and is very informative; he's happy to take the time to explain things thoroughly
This is my go-to Doctor!
he's a great, informative doctor!
The doctor is really good, how ever I had to wait for more than one hour!
He is now my go to practitioner..love the guy
So far he is the best Doc I have seen in SF. I highly recommend him. Very nice and very informative!!
I chose Dr. Savage as my Primary Care Physician because of the good ratings on ZocDoc. My initial appointment was okay, please note that the office seems to be aimed at traveler's, which means on call 24hrs, very speedy, etc., but not in a bad way, in an efficient way. He's very real, kind, and easy to work with, I was in and out with my referral in under 20 mins, I would not recommend if you're looking for drawn out, slow paced intimate care. But if you don't need a doctor very often and live/work downtown and are typically short on time (I meet all those) I would recommend him.
Although I was pretty annoyed when Dr. Savage finally saw me 40 minutes after my schedule appointment time, his charming bedside manner disarmed me. He was very nice, gave me some pointers that I haven't heard before. I left in a very positive mood.
Dr. Savage is probably my favorite doctor ever. If I lived in SF, I would go to him exclusively, and more than that, he is great because he is always available for people who are travelling. This was a better experience than most I have had with a Dr. who actually knows me, and I have asthma which makes everything more complicated. Two thumbs up!!
He practices western medicine, but certainly emphasizes an Eastern approach: his philosophy is that the body is ill when warding off infection so take steps to minimize the chances for infection and do regular bodily checks/tricks to minimize your responses to infection. He knows his stuff. Also, likes to rant. Friendly.
Dr Savage is a great doctor, friendly and very knowledgeable. He does not stop his practice to just checking your metrics, he gives easy-to-implement advice which is adapted to your lifestyle. He is interested in his patient and his patient's life and keeps a good sense of humor. You can sense that he keeps learning and training in his field as well. It makes a visit to your Doctor simply interesting.
Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and explained the problems and treatment with wonderful clarity.
11am appointment... arrived 10:50. Got called in at 11:40.
Jim was funny. I had a good time talking to him, and he eased my nerves. I will be back.
Dr. Savage is fantastic! He was able to diagnose me quickly and explain what was going on in my body using analogies and pictures. It was great to finally have a doctor explain in detail what caused my symptoms rather than just tell me what I had and what pills I needed to take.
Dr. Savage always makes a point of teaching me about whatever ailments I have so that I can prevent them in the future.
Dr. Savage was great! Very friendly, professional, and knows his stuff.
Dr. Savage was very kind! He was knowledgeable and cared to help me.
If you like a chatty MD this is your man. He covered quite a few topics, some related to healthcare.
He is very understanding and actually spends quality time with the patients. I'm used to doctors rushing people in and out. This is definitely a nice breath of fresh air.
We have made a dozen visits over the last few years, and Dr. Savage is great!!
I think I finally found a good doctor as my primary care physician!
Dr. Savage is always friendly and educates you during your visit. He never rushes you, even though there is a room full of people waiting - your time with him is yours! He has a newly renovated office - looks great and welcoming. No longer taking my insurance - so unfortunately I am back in the hunt for a new doctor - that sucks.
Excellent visit; EXTREMELY informative and accurate!
he was very thorough, friendly and professional
Funny, off-beat, knows his stuff. Not thrilled about the branded prescriptions, but should have said something about it in the office.
As always, a pleasure.
Hilarious doctor. Great doctor to have for a guy in their 20's or 30's.
Wholeheartedly recommend the doc
He can be a bit abrupt; he doesn't come off like a normal physician, using slang and some cruder language. But it was in an attempt to build some rapport, which was appreciated.
Dr Savage is great. He has a great attitude, is very knowledgeable, and can explain everything to you in terms you understand. Very satisfactory doctor visit.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Savage. He's one of the few PCPs in a major city who genuinely cares about his patients. He's not in a rush to kick you out the door, and provides a lot of valuable advice across all areas of living. Also, he's hilarious.
Absolutely Excellent. He knows his stuff. I never leave reviews for anything but I was so impressed by my experience with him I had to publicly recommend!
Dr. Savage was a cool guy and seemed very knowledgeable. However, the general experience of visiting the office is what hurts this review. The office staff was discombobulated as the juggled dozens of people who were all squeezed in the same timeslot like sardines. I also spent months trying to iron out the incorrect paperwork that the finance person submitted that caused several of my basic procedures to not be covered. Not the best experience.
Great guy. He gave me great information and was a pleasure to speak with. He clearly knows his stuff.
Quick and efficient visit. Very happy overall.
Extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk with. He's a 5+!
I'm 29 years old. Like a lot of other people my age, I haven't regularly visited doctors sin years. Not only did he give me tons of fantastic advice about the particular reason I went to see him, he gave me tons of other advice as well. In general my health has improved because of him. Very nice man as well. A+
very good dr. very nice good sense of humor. know alot about what he does. very professional .
Great doctor! Just moved to SF and established Dr. Savage as my primary care physician. He came off as very competent and knowledgeable (very good instructor). He was also very personable. Nothing negative to say. Staff was very friendly and wait was minimal - I was called just as I completed my paperwork. As a side, his lobby is full of pictures of him with various celebrities (particularly actors) in his office, which was kind of cool.
Dr.Savage was amazing. He actually talked to me, unlike other doctors I have seen. He made eye contact, asked questions, and actually listened. He was very thorough when explaining anything and made sure I understood. I plan on seeing him again when needed.
Even though I was probably his 10,000th patient w/a sinus infection, he took the time to explain the problem and treatment options in detail!
A great experience!
Dr. Savage was patient, timely, courteous and explained things accordingly. I would definitely feel comfortable going to see him again should a similar problem or another issue arise.
Coolest doctor I've ever had!
Dr. Jim Savage is a great doctor who gives you 'straight talk' and treats you like a personal friend. He recommended several preventative methods to reduce my dependency on medication and answered my questions thoroughly without being condescending like many doctors can be. I felt like he was genuinely concerned with my health and well being. He has a great sense of humor as well and I left with a smile on my face. Highly recommended!
He moves a lot of patients quickly (as he typically works with last minute appointments from people traveling to SF) -- but surprisingly that doesn't negatively affect his practice. He saw me immediately, got right down to brass tacks, TAUGHT me things I have never known about diagnosis of simple congestion -- and showed me a technique I had never heard of for keeping clear. And showed me how one sickness can turn into many very logically. I was out in 20 minutes, but felt I had gotten a lot out of that time. He also gave me his card saying to call personally if I had questions. Very efficient, but very effective. I made it back to work only 7 minutes late for a meeting I thought I would completely miss by at least an hour :)
He really took the time to make sure I understood why I was sick and what I can do to prevent the same thing from happening in the future. Super friendly too. A doctor I feel I can trust. Thanks, Dr. Savage!
Great guy; professional, courteous and knowledgeable.
Dr. Savage is very professional, honest and passionate about helping his patients.
Dr. Savage was very friendly and helped me right away. Setting up the appt online was painless and something I would recommend to anyone. Thanks so much!
Dr. Savage is a rock star. Listens to your issue, and want to ensure you take a preventive care verse treating after the fact. Thanks, Dr. Savage!
My single visit was excellent. I made him out PCP.
One of the better experiences I've had with a doctor, who took the time to explain what was wrong with me, why, and how to get better, instead of just writing a quick scrip and sending me out the door. I wish every doctor was as thorough and humane as Dr. Savage.
he got right to the point of diagnosising me, did a quick minor test, the gave me a shot, a little bag of follow up meds right there on the spot, and sent me on my way with a game plan to tackle my issue, and a good feeling of it being resloved.
I have nothing but nice things to say about Dr. Savage. He makes you feel at easy, takes time thoroughly go over your issues and solution. There was no rushed feeling, he wants you to be educated and in tune with yourself. Thanks Dr. Savage!
If you need candy coating from your doctor, this is not the guy. What you get with Dr. Savage is a very intelligent, efficient, and no nonsense professional who pinpointed and diagnosed my issue precisely and was able to guide me to the remedy as well as teaching me how to avoid the same issues in the future. A great experience and a great doctor.
Dr. Savage was very professional and inviting. I felt that he was knowledgeable regarding my condition and was prompt in diagnosing it. His friendly manner was most appreciated.
A perfect doctor for busy professionals! He lets the patient lead the discussion and actively listens to focus on what are the patient's main concerns before running the standard physical tests. He tells it like it is, but always with encouraging suggestions for improvement. Most people can stand to be in a little bit better shape, right? His efficient style allows for a flexible schedule which means he'll be free when you need him, because you can't plan ahead for when a medical issue will pop up. So delightful to find a doctor truly focused on the patient's needs and wants!
