Dr. Joanna Chan is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon. She is an expert in the surgical management of skin cancers and a variety of cosmetic procedures such as Botox, lasers, injectable fillers, Kybella double chin reduction, chemical peels and treatment of leg veins. Dr. Chan is also trained in advanced surgical reconstruction and cosmetic surgical procedures such as eyelid blepharoplasty and neck liposuction. Her passion is to create beautiful, natural results utilizing the most minimally-invasive techniques with specialized attention to the particular needs of each patient.
She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and obtained her medical degree at Stanford Medical School. Dr. Chan completed her dermatology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where she conducted award-winning research, including being awarded first place at the Resident & Fellow Symposium Skin of Color Society and receiving the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Cutting Edge Research Grand Award. She was then selected to attend the Mohs College accredited fellowship at the prestigious California Skin Institute, focusing on Mohs surgery and advanced cosmetic surgery techniques.
Dr. Chan has been repeatedly awarded numerous distinctions, including Super Doctors® “Rising Stars,” American Cancer League Honoree and America’s Top Dermatologists. Even more than these accolades, Dr. Chan’s greatest achievement is being referred to friends and family of her patients and physician colleagues.
