Dr. Aranowitz is excellent. He's easy to talk to and extremely friendly. He spent extra time with me to discuss the best treatment option for me - which is so unusual among doctors, who often usher patients in and out as quickly as possible - and he was very interested and receptive to discussing what treatment options I felt most comfortable with. He didn't just write me a prescription and send me on my way, which can sometimes happen with busy doctors. I highly recommend him!
Dr. Aronowitz is extremely nice and understanding. He patiently listened to all my thoughts and concerns. I am very happy about my appointment

Spent a lot of time with me taking down a thorough history. Looking forward to the next appointment.
He has a new scheduling office! That was the only thing preventing me from recommending him before.
Really good doctor would recommend knows what his talking about and concern about his patients A++
Excellent care, great experience. Would highly recommend this doctor .
Best experience with a psychiatrist to date. Highly recommended!
He was extremely thorough and made me feel very comfortable.
Very efficient and good communication. Great psychiatrist.
Highly recommend, nice and very professional meeting.
Perfection!
I really enjoyed my time with Dr. Aronowitz over the couple sessions I saw him. I find it’s hard to find a good psychiatrist who is willing to work with you, but Dr. Aronowitz did. He was very thorough and wanted to know my childhood history to better know why I behaved the way I did. I feel like we could’ve developed a good relationship. However he stopped seeing me after I was admitted to a psychiatric hospital on a suicide attempt. Though I hear that’s not uncommon, it was pretty weird to me as he is a psychiatrist and is to be managing my medication and treating the very symptoms that led me to the hospital.

This was my first time seeing a psychiatrist so I was a little nervous and didn't know what to expect. Dr. Aronowitz was incredibly nice and welcoming and easy to talk to and open up to. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Aronowitz really took the time to get to know me as a new patient. This made me feel like he was really invested in finding the best treatment plan for me and that he truly cared about me as a patient. He was informative and helpful, I would highly recommend!
I had a great appointment. I was seen right away at my exact appointment time. The office was comforting and welcoming. The doctor spent more than an hour with me taking a thorough history and listening to me. He let me ask a lot of questions and gave me long thoughtful answers. He wasn't distracted at all during the appointment and for the full hour I had his complete attention. He took time to talk me through all of my options not just medications and made sure I was comfortable with our plan going forward before I left. I have never met such a kind and attentive doctor
Most psychiatrists just feel like a factory. He seemed like he really cared. Listened to everything I had to say and made me feel comfortable and validated.
He really took time to get a detailed history and took down all the information in a systematic way. He presented me with possible medications and made a recommendation that addressed my concerns about the side effects.
i came for my appointment and he never showed up. I waited and waited and no one knew when or where he was going to be in. I was very annoyed by the whole situation. Thanks
Dr. Aronowitrz was excellent! He has been the most attentive and helpful psychopharmacologist I've visited with, especially for a simple medication switch and advice on medication management. I'd recommend him to most, and he takes most kinds of insurance!
He really took the time to listen to me. I feel like for the first time a doctor really understood me. We have a clear plan of action and I am so glad I went.
Dr. Aronowitz has been wonderful when I'm able to see him. However, I've been calling the office for almost 3 weeks now, and no one answers the phone or responds to the countless messages I've written. I had to see another doctor to fill my prescription for the medication Dr. Aronowitz originally prescribed. To allow patients to run out of medication that is necessary, and dangerous to go off of cold turkey, is in my opinion, irresponsible. Love him...but he needs a new scheduling office.
Dr. Aronowitz was very patient and made me feel comfortable in my own skin. He was patient and took notes on everything. I highly recommend him to anyone!!! He's wonderful
Very compassionate and takes his time listening
I really liked Dr Aronowitz - he was warm and friendly, had plenty of time for my appointment, and helped me find treatment solutions right away. The problem I really have with him is his office - my prescription had to be verified before it could be filled and it was impossible to reach anyone who could help me. It's been four weeks and absolutely no one has answered my voice mails and I still don't have my medication. For all I know, I just got scammed out of a copay.
He was very nice and down to earth.
It was difficult to find parking, but my visit was well worth it. There was no wait and Dr. Aronowitz was friendly, thorough, and made me feel really comfortable the entire time. He clearly knows what he is doing. I've been to many psychiatrists and psychologist and he is the best!
In my initial patient visit he took enough time to get my thorough background and discuss treatment goals. He was non-judgmental and friendly. He takes insurance! :-) I was horrified by reviews of OTHER doctors who had massive wait times or were multitasking during the appointment. I am happy to report I had literally no wait time & felt as though I had his attention 99% of the time.
Wonderful experience! He truly cares about his patients. Did not feel rushed like I have felt from other medical professionals.
Dr. Aronowitz was excellent and being mindful, kind and generous with his knowledge. He knew what to say and how to say it when it came to addressing my mental health needs. He is very understanding and knowing my experience with psychiatrists for the past two years, he has been a true God Send for me.
You feel comfortable with him. There's a sense that you're in good hands and not someone who's trying to rush you out the door
I was terrified going into this appointment, but Dr. Aronowitz was kind, patient, and understanding. He really listens when I say something is or isn't working for me and seems genuinely interested in getting me normal...whatever that is! I never felt like drugs were being pushed on me against my will and he didn't even seem annoyed when I brought up my google/webmd research. I also never felt rushed through my appointment and his staff is always very helpful when I call in. Important to note that they only take cash or check though!
Dr Aronowitz was very professional, extremely attentive and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me before advising me of his diagnosis.
He was very nice, patient, and thorough. Took what I wanted into account and I didn't feel like he was just pushing drugs at me to get me out of his office.
Dr. Aronowitz takes an extremely methodical, informed, and thorough approach. He takes the time to understand the problem and the history; I was expecting one of those 30 minute rush jobs but he spent a full hour delving into various nuances. I appreciate that, especially given how cursory many medical professions tend to be in New York. Even on a followup appointment where we were short on time he delved pretty deep. I also see thoughtfulness in understanding the medications and which ones are appropriate. He explains how the medication works and what the next steps are, which are both reassuring and project competence. My qualm is that he has something of a stereotypical "New York" bedside manner, which can come across as short, dry, and almost sarcastic. That is obviously difficult when you are coming in with struggles, but it also helps get problems out in the open rather than beat around the bush. I would say not to be intimidated by the mannerisms and speak what is on your mind. From his medical expertise it seems he knows what he is doing, and I would assume he cares about his patients. The office assistant is helpful and polite and even let me put off my copayment. Thankfully they take insurance! Hard to find in the city. His practice works great for those difficult problems that take time and effort to understand.
I really appreciated his professionalism and how easy it was to schedule an appointment and meet with him. He was very courteous and asked all the right questions. I'm hoping to keep him as my primary psychiatrist in the future.
Dr. Aronowitz spent an hour and a half with me, taking comprehensive notes and asking pointed and helpful questions. This is not what I expected (in a good way) from a doctor in the NYC area. I appreciated his reliance on research and conservative approach to medication.
Dr. Aronowitz was attentive and warm. I have found in the past with psychiatrists that they are often brisk and have a need to get the patient quickly out of the office. I was impressed by the comprehensive history that he took.
