Dr. Jonathan Frank’s practice focuses on minimally invasive, arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, hip & elbow. His unique background includes extensive training and expertise in cartilage restoration, complex multi-ligament knee injuries, joint preserving osteotomies, as well as treatment of complex shoulder conditions, ranging from shoulder instability and rotator cuff repair surgery to shoulder replacement surgery.
Dr. Frank is fellowship trained in Sports medicine and Joint Preservation Surgery and has a particular interest in taking care of athletes.
Growing up in sunny Southern California, Dr. Frank attended UCLA, earning dual degrees in History and Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology, as well as minoring in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures. As an undergraduate, his research was published in multiple scientific journals. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, he conducted an additional year of research in the Department of Neurology at Cedar Sinai Medical Center. He further pursued his research interests while attending the UCLA School of Medicine where he earned multiple distinctions and presented his research in both regional and national orthopedic conferences.

The parking lot policy of cash only is unacceptable and the office should petition a change.
Visit felt a little rushed, but to be fair I was a little late. Most important is that I got the information I needed so yes, I would go back.

Dr. Frank was Great! He has excellent bedside manner. He quickly diagnosed the issue and thoroughly educated me. His front staff was super prompt and pleasant as well, I was helped by Marie Elena & Martha who was very communicative and professional. She sent over my referral for physical therapy and I'm now getting Exceptional physical therapy treatment at a Trusted facility.

I had very little wait in the reception office. Once I was in Dr. Frank's patient room, the wait was very minimal.
Doc asked me what my problem was. He was an active listener. He inquired about my background and activity level. I told him about my history of the pain along with things that cause it to flare up and things that help. He performed a bunch of physical assessments to help identify the problem.
He showed confidence in what my particular disparity is.... but wants to have an MRI for safe measures. I like that he didn't disregard anything and walk me out to see a PT in hopes it gets better later on.
He finished up with asking if i had any questions for him and I did. i went through my list as he engaged with responses and was patient with me gathering all of what I needed.
side note: i'm an extremely active athlete and he showed me compassion for wanting to see a full recovery in my case. Great bedside.

I came to see Dr. Frank for a knee injury. He was very friendly and so was the staff. Since my visit, I am now walking pain free. He recommende physical therapy, and his recommendation was outstanding. Will be coming back for any issues that I might experience in the future.
