Dr. Jonith Breadon, MD
A native of Chicago, Dr. Breadon attended Loyola University Medical school at Chicago. She performed her internship in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois Hospitals where she was Chief Resident. She then completed a second residency in Dermatology at Howard University Hospital. Dr. Breadon is on staff at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where she is co-director of Dermatologic Surgery. When not treating patients, she teaches dermatologic surgery to the dermatology residents at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, and is a frequent consultant for many Chicago and national news stations, and has appeared as a guest consultant on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Dr. Breadon is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American College of Emergency Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, The Association of Academic Dermatologic Surgeons, past-president of the Illinois Dermatologic Society. She is also a member of the National Medical Association, The Dermatology Foundation, The Skin of Color Society, The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine, and the Women's Dermatological Society.
