About Dr. Kaitlyn Kollmann
Dr. Kaitlyn M Kollmann is a full-time dermatologist at Derm Institute of Chicago. She was born just outside of St. Louis in Collinsville, Illinois. She completed her dermatology residency training at Kansas University in Kansas City, Kansas, and her medical internship at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. She completed her medical school education at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. She received her Bachelor’s degree in biology from McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois where she graduated magna cum laude. Prior to her medical internship year, she completed a year of research in pediatric dermatology at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL.
While in her final year of dermatology residency at Kansas University, Dr. Kollmann was selected to be chief resident. During her medical school training at Southern Illinois University, she received honors in her Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery and Psychiatry clerkships.
Dr. Kollmann’s professional interests include medical, surgical, and pediatric dermatology. She treats patients of all ages and skin types.

She is super nice but I walked out without any post care instructions and was/still am in pain from my mole removal and have a large hole in my arm from the removal. I assume it will heal but I thought it was weird she sent me out the door without letting me know how to clean it or what to apply on it etc. I called about a few days later to see if maybe it would heal but I was still bleeding and in a lot of pain. I called the office and she wasn’t there but someone in the office prescribed me a cream…… she still has not reached out days later.

Everyone in the office was so friendly. Dr. Kollman was a great listener and gave me great advice to deal with the problems I was dealing with. I had a bad experience with a previous dermatologist brushing me off, but Dr. Kollman and her staff genuinely cared about helping me achieve my skin goals. And the medication that was prescribed to me was very affordable. Highly recommend!!!
