Verified Patient Reviews
I've known Dr. Josephson for about 20 years, both as an RN at Lenox Hill Hospital, and as a patient. In the hospital, he was respectful and helpful to the nurses, as well to his patients. He does the same for the patients in his office, and has an almost uncanny ability to quickly and correctly diagnose and treat sinus problems. He also has a quirky sense of humor, which helps, and the best office staff ever, in Judy and Janice. I highly recommend him as truly caring professional.
Dr Josephson is truly an amazing doctor. I went to see him because I had a lump in my neck. I knew I was going to need surgery but was very nervous. He was perfect. He alleviated all of my fears. He was very caring. Dr Josephson recommended surgery. But what was really amazing about him is that he went over the research in the field with me and offered to send me to another doctor who was doing a protocol of observation instead of surgery for thyroid cancer. I never heard of a doctor doing this, sending a potential surgery away. Although, I appreciated Dr Josephson giving me all of the options, I finally chose surgery after I looked into the protocol. Watching a cancer in my body was not for me. But at least he gave me all the options. Through the process, I was a wreck. Dr Josephson saw this and gave me his cell number and was always available. Not like the doctors today. I was always able to reach him. I went to multiple doctors because I was a basket case about this. Dr Josephson was always available to answer all of my questions. The other opinions always led back to Dr Josephson and I now know why. Dr Josephsons team is phenomenal. They were all caring and thorough. Dr Josephson did my surgery which went amazing. You can barely see the scar. Through it all, Dr Josephson is tops. The most amazing part is that for such a brilliant famous doctor (you know he was on Oprah and Dr Oz, wrote a book Sinus Relief Now etc), when you become his patient, he treats you like you were his next door neighbor. He is available and has helped my friends that don’t even know him making calls to help me get my friends appointments when they were not able to. He is genuinely a very nice person who cares a lot about his patients.
I was debilitated with sinus infections and went from doctor to doctor without resolution. I had terrible debilitating headaches, I couldn’t breathe and I couldn’t stop coughing. The doctors kept giving me medicines and everyone had a different opinion of what was causing my problem. I continued to suffer. I could not function at work and could not sleep at night. I was miserable. And no one seemed to have a solution. So I decided to go out of network to Dr Jordan Josephson. We researched Dr Josephson and heard nothing but good things about Dr Josephson from friends and other doctors. I read his book Sinus Relief Now and in retrospect think that every sinus sufferer should read it. I made an appointment to see Dr Josephson and he spent considerably more time with me than any of the other doctors that I had seen. He was very thorough and explained his diagnosis and the treatment that I would have to undergo which included various medicines, irrigating with a netipot, nasal sprays and further study. He said if medicine did not work that I might need surgery. I was glad that he was not quick to go to the operating room even though he was a surgeon. He said lets see if medicine can clear this up. He calmed me down as I was alarmed that I was never going to feel better. In fact, he was so caring, he gave me his personal cell number which he said I should use should I need. I never heard of a doctor doing that. I later found out he gives all of his patients his personal cell number. This provided comfort just knowing that I could reach my doctor if my problems worsened. I read his book Sinus Relief Now and it all started to make sense. After medicine only improved my problems partially, Dr Josephson explained that I in fact, needed Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery. Even though I heard nightmare stories about sinus surgery and my father had it and it was a bad experience, my desperation lead me to decide to undergo surgery. Dr Josephson spent a lot of time explaining that with his technique, I probably would not need anything for pain except tylenol and that I would probably only feel that my nose was a little achy. He told me that I would probably notice that I was breathing better in the recovery room right after surgery. He told me that I would probably not have any packing in my nose and he said that I would have surgery under a local with sedation and as a result would not feel groggy from general anaesthesia. This sounded scary but it really wasn’t and in fact the surgery went pretty easy and in the recovery room I could not believe how much better I was breathing. The surgery was not bad at all. He said that I would most likely be able to go to work the next morning after I saw him. And in fact, I did. I took a few Tylenol and that is all I needed. It wasn’t really painful, it was a little achy the way he said it would be. After surgery he said that there would be some procedures that I would have to undergo after surgery in his office and with each one of these I would find more improvement. I am still undergoing these and with each procedure, I am feeling better and better. By now, you can figure out that I had the surgery and now it is a month later and everything Dr Josephson said came true. The whole fairy tale. My Dad had a similar surgery for his sinus infections and polyps years ago and when Dr Josephson explained how recovery would be my dad said it didn’t sound like what he experienced. My father said he had endoscopic surgery by another well regarded surgeon and that it was performed under general anaesthesia, his nose was packed, he was all banged up and he had a lot of pain and he was out of work for about a week. Prior to surgery, my father said that Dr Josephsons description of what I would experience after surgery sounded to good to be true. But it was exactly how he described. I am now much better than I can ever remember being and I continue to improve with his care. My father still can’t believe how well the recovery went and how good I felt afterwards and continue to feel. I have been enjoying my summer. It was worth going to Dr Josephson even though it cost considerably more out of network. They say, you get what you pay for in life and this definitely was true in this case. Dr. Jordan Josephson is a true life saver. I couldn’t be happier with the care, treatment and surgery that I have received. He is superior thorough and it is obvious how much he cares about his patients. He spends the time that they need. Thank you Dr Josephson. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Jordan Josephson to anyone with a sinus or nose problem..
Focused and thorough...
Prior to seeing Dr. Josephson, I had years of treatment for chronic sinusitis and finally surgery that never really fixed the problem. So I was pretty impressed right off the bat when, during my first visit with Dr. Josephson, he clearly and decisively outlined a plan to fix my sinuses. Through an amazing level of personal attention and accessibility to him around the clock (on his cell phone), I am finally getting to a place where my sinuses are no longer an issue in my life. And I truly believe his approach of working together to solve the problems - by listening to the details I have to share about my daily progress - has made the biggest difference. I highly recommend Dr. Josephson to anyone who needs a first-time ENT, or feels like they've hit a dead end - like I had.
I just started using Zocdoc at a friend’s suggestion and was glad to see that Dr. Josephson was listed. I have been with Dr. Josephson since 1994 when he diagnosed an unusual sinus condition called inverted papilloma. He performed an innovative endoscopic surgery that other ENT doctors in the 90’s would not perform. Surgery was easy, and I was back to work the next day. Thanks to his watchful eye over the years, he diagnosed and confirmed a stage 1 rare cancer of my cheek sinus. After radiation treatment and regular follow ups with Dr. Josephson, my condition now shows no sign of reoccurrence. I have found him to be a very knowledgeable, dedicated, and caring doctor. His book Sinus Relief Now shows his expertise in his field, and gives the reader a clear understanding of sinus conditions that people suffer from. He is easily accessible and even gives his patients his personal cell number to call him, should they have an emergency. Dr. Josephson is a skilled diagnostician and surgeon. I highly recommend him and I’m grateful for all he has done.
During my two visits with Dr. Jordan Josephson, I was surprised at the degree to which he struggled to stay on focus and address the nasal/sinus problem that actually brought me into his office. He instead insisted on spending our time discussing matters totally unrelated to my reason for seeing him (or my ears/nose/throat at all), and I felt I had to remind him why I was there multiple times in order to receive the treatment I needed. When he did make a diagnosis, he explained the problem briefly and in pure medical jargon, so naturally I left feeling scared and confused. His staff insulted me when I was surprised to see how large my bill was. Ultimately, I picked up my records and took them to a true professional who solved my nose and sinus issues within two (very pleasant) visits.
You're not just a number or a chart to Dr. Josephson. He cares about you and your health.
The staff was great, Dr. Josephson was fantastic! Everything about the facility and my visit was perfect.
Dr Josephson most certainly lives up to his reputation. Thorough and precise - treats you the way you should be treated.
He is caring, knowledgable and shows great concern for your whole medical needs.
He is very professional, courteous, and thorough. Dr. Josephson took the time to evaluate me carefully and did not rush the appointment. He wanted to make sure he answered all my questions and had my full medical history. His treatment was excellent. I highly recommend him.

Right on target. He was professional, friendly & helpful.
I have been seeing Dr. Josephson for many years. I have chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps. He has worked with me to find different treatments as my sinus problems have progressed and changed over the years and the methodology of treatment has improved. I am very satisfied with the way he has worked with me to improve my quality of life.
Office very professional, appointments always taken with minimal wait time, even on initial visit when I was referred by my internist with a severe sinus infection (now happily cured). Dr Josephson very thorough, excellent on followup.
Best ent exam i ever had.
Dr Josephson is a rare find in ENT's, in that he is willing to search and work outside of the box. Highly trained, experienced, and insightful. I would recommend his practice if you have had no luck with standard ENT treatment modalities.
Great experience. Dr. Josephson was very caring and personable and made me feel comfortable. He was thorough and spend a good amount of time with me. I'm very pleased with my visit to see Dr. Josephson.
