Joseph Scoggin, MD is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. His general orthopedic practice includes adult and pediatric fracture care, sports medicine and arthroscopy, and joint replacement. He is on staff at Banner Desert Medical Center, Cardon Children's Medical Center, and Arizona Orthopedic Surgical Hospital. After hours may be available for acute fractures. We welcome self pay patients with prior arrangement.
Dr. Scoggin is a longtime resident of the East Valley and attended McClintock High School in Tempe. His undergraduate degree is in Biomedical Engineering from Oral Roberts University. He attended medical school at Loma Linda University and graduated in 1991. He stayed on at Loma Linda in California for his Orthopedic Surgery residency finishing in 1996. Dr. Scoggin spent his first seven years in practice in Mississippi and moved back to the Valley in 2003. He resides in Tempe with his wife of twenty years, Kim, and two children, Gabriel and Rosemarie. They are acitive parishioners at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Tempe. Dr. Scoggin's interests outside medicine include golf and bowhunting.

the office seems well organized ~ a big waitroom only shows back up ~ this wait /entrence was small yet cozy ~ as tho they are so organized they move thru the schedule as they should ~ ON TIME . once I filled out my paperwork it was approx. 5 minuted before i was taken to the exam room where Brenda came in within two minutes ~ she was alert attentive & cheerful. once she finished Dr. Scoggin followed ~ I felt honor to have his attention ... his presence is commanding ... in a good way ~ as if your problems end here. ~ he engaged in questions that led him to getting to know me better . the desisions we made felt as we were making them together & that he knows just what I need before my injury gets worse ~ he tested my injury respectfully & had great bedside manner. This man seems as tho he belives in what he does & that's the leadership I was looking for to resolve my knee problem. I will recomend him to others

Dr Scoggins was fantastic. He was friendly, caring, and very professional. He said that "he treats patients, not X-rays". I was very impressed and highly recommend him after only one visit.
