Julie Takeuchi Crawford, M.D., is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist with Women’s Healthcare Clinic of Oregon, P.C. She received a four-year Regents Scholarship to study Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Arizona, and her academic research was published as an undergraduate. Dr. Crawford then graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and performed her residency at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, OR.
Although born and raised in Arizona, 3 generations of Dr. Crawford’s extended family still live in the Willamette Valley, and she is thrilled to finally call Portland her home. She and her husband, Timothy, have son, James, born in October 2006, and daughter, Rose, born August 2009. They live in Northeast Portland along with their adopted cat and a “career change” former Guide Dog, Skye. When not working, the family can be found skiing at Timberline, exploring among the shelves at Powells’, cheering on the Portland Timbers, or Steelhead fishing with her uncle along the Sandy River. Dr. Crawford also enjoys playing the violin, knitting, and improving her snow skiing skills.

Julie was amazing! Only she could make a pap smear seem fun. She was sweet and funny, and answered all of my questions with lots of detail. She even helped me understand the way the body works better! For the longest time I couldn't find a physician that I liked or even wanted to go back to. Now, I am almost excited for next year's exam just so I can see Julie. :)

Dr. Crawford was down to earth and easygoing. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. She answered all of my questions and gave me options for managing Endometriosis. Her examination skills were gentle. Overall, it was one of my best experiences at a Gynecology clinic.

she is really great, and understanding. i have had a certain issue for over a year that no doctor would understand or had any knowledge of, (had been to 4 before her) and she knew exactly what i was talking about and was very comforting and helpful. love her! highly recommend.
