Dr. Vu was very helpful. She assessed my situation and made the best decision. She was very gentle with the exam and made sure she helped me with my insurance. She even followed up with me, PERSONALLY, later after the appointment to tell me about the options of medicines and the prices. I really enjoyed going to this doctor and will return! She was amazing.

Dr. Julie Vu is a native Texan. She left her home in Houston, TX to attend college at The University of Texas in Dallas. While working towards her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, she spent her free time tutoring at risk children in Americorp and volunteering as an advocate for women in the domestic violence division of the Dallas DA's office. Her experience led her to become more aware of women's issues and to develop a love for teaching.
She attended University of Texas Southwestern Medical School where she realized that her interests in women's health, surgery, and developing long-term relationships with patients by caring for them in all stages of their lives could be realized in one specialty, Obstetrics and Gynecology. During this time, she was able to use her skills as a native Vietnamese speaker to translate for patients in refugee clinics in Dallas. She also took her first trip to Vietnam, where she observed doctors and learned about the country's public and private health care system. In her free time, she taught English to children at Village of Hope orphanage in Danang.
In an effort to experience a city outside of her home state of Texas, Dr. Vu completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mercy Hospital in Chicago. The diverse training she acquired there gave her the ability to comfortably manage high and low risk pregnancies as well as treating patients using minimally invasive techniques.
As ACOG Junior Fellow Vice Chair in 2008 and Chair in 2009, she had the opportunity to represent her specialty and provide information to members of congress about the changing landscape of medicine and the increasing need for preventative care which could be provided by her specialty.

Dr Julie Vu is not only extremely professional but compassionate, understanding and took the time to answer all my health questions/concerns. I have two daughters and would trust them to Dr Julie Vu. I will definitely go back to her for all my future appointments.
The office receptionist (if I can call her that) is another story, she is rude, nasty and inefficient- after being ignored for about 5 min at check out I asked her for the Dr orders & how much co-payment was due, she said; if you don't know how do you expect me to do so and threw the orders at me.

The doctor was great! Everyone else in the office had such a terrible attitude. The front desk person was so rude and so was the lady that drew my blood. The doctor was so kind and nice.
