About Brittany Blackman
Brittany Blackman, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Miss Blackman has been a Registered Nurse for 14 years, specializing in trauma surgery and labor and delivery. She also spent six years as a travel nurse, which allowed her to experience and care for many cultures and communities. She loves serving as an active member of Covenant Church, reading, spending quality time with friends and family, scuba diving, watching movies, and hopes to one day train for a sprint triathlon.
Brittany holds two bachelor’s degrees: a BSN in nursing and a BS in psychology with a sociology minor from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas. She earned her Master’s in Nursing at Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan. She is a member of the Texas Nurse Association (TNA), the American Nurses Association (ANA), and the Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP). Miss Blackman is also an undergraduate clinical nursing professor, having taught at the University of San Francisco in California and Chamberlain University in Irving, Texas. She educates students in functional patient care across different specialties, both in the hospital and in the community.
Professor Blackman is bilingual in French and English. She serves as a board member with International Allied Missions (IAM) and regularly participates in medical and Evangelical mission trips worldwide. She specializes in primary care and family practice as an FNP in the Dallas area. Brittany looks forward to the rewarding moments of assisting clients from their lowest levels to their greatest health potential—medically, spiritually, and emotionally—from the inside out.

I was very excited to meet with this doctor. However, once I got there, there was a few instances that I didn’t like, but I looked past. But once it came to my second appointment, there was a lot of confusion disorganization and I did not like the uncertainty of it all.

Wow, Brittany is Phenomenal!!!! Very professional, kind, understanding and she took the time to listen me. I want to take a moment to truly thank Dr. Brittany Blackman for the care she provides. From the very first visit, she made me feel heard, valued, and genuinely cared for not like I was just another number. She took the time to listen to my concerns and addressed them with compassion and professionalism.
Lately, I’ve felt like I was just paying for appointments without getting real answers or resolution, but that was not my experience with her. She sincerely cared about my well-being and made sure I felt comfortable enough to openly discuss everything that was bothering me. That kind of environment is rare and deeply appreciated.

I personally never necessarily liked going to the doctors. They usually never inquire if I’m up to date on anything or offer to find out more information about what I came in for if it wasn’t dire enough to them.
