I was really anxious prior to the meeting, which Dr. Amer walked me through every step of the way, devised a plan that was set in place, he was very patient and thorough, explained everything in detail and provided suggestions. Great doctor! I highly recommend him. The appointment was booked on Zocdoc and it was quick and easy. My insurance was accepted there, which I was worried about because I have NJ family care. The staff was friendly and helpful. The RN was very knowledgeable as well. The only reason I gave a 4 star rating on one of the categories was because they had told me that they sent a prescription to my pharmacy right away, but when I got there my pharmacy told me that they never received it. I called the doctor office to let them know what happened and they sent it immediately, which was great but I had to wait for the prescription for about 20 minutes instead of having it ready when I got there. All in all Dr. Kamal Amer and his staff are an excellent choice??.
I have a procedure scheduled with him in a couple of days and I am going back to see him next month!

I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Amer! After months of struggling with GI issues and feeling dismissed by other doctors, Dr. Amer took the time to TRULY LISTEN to my concerns. He spent a full HOUR with me, explained my treatment options clearly, and even drew diagrams to help me understand my diagnosis. He made me feel confident and secure. Trust me, I have suffered a lot from careless providers.
For the first time in months, I feel hopeful and empowered to find a solution for my diagnosis. He takes a very realistic approach and works to find the root of the cause.

Still have lots of tests to do, but Dr. Amer was great! I was seen right away. He was friendly, listened and went through each option with care and clarity. He answered all of my questions and kept checking in to ensure I was clear on next steps. Looking forward to figuring things out with Dr. Amer
