Kara Blohm, MS, RD, CSSD, LDN, CDCES is a Chicago area Registered Dietitian, she holds two Master of Science degrees from San Diego State University - one in Nutritional Science and one in Exercise Physiology. Kara is a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) providing clear and concise education for diabetes management, helping you create healthy habits so diabetes fits into YOUR desired lifestyle. She also holds a Board Certification as a Specialist in Sport Nutrition (CSSD), working with recreational athletes and professional athletes alike helping them shatter their performance goals. She has a background working in weight loss, renal disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and other chronic health conditions. Kara’s goal is to work with clients to improve their relationship with food with an “everything fits” approach encouraging clients to ditch the diet mentality, calorie counting, and rigid meal planning making room to enjoy real, whole foods (including dessert!). Kara’s favorite food is homemade pizza. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, traveling, reading a good book, spending time with family and friends, and watching her beloved Michigan State Spartans win. Go Green!
