The staff was very nice and attentive. I was seen quickly. Dr. Hendler-Goldberg was running late though. The medical assistant finished with me at 10:39, but I didn't see Dr. Hendler-Goldberg until 11:15! However, the appointment was quick, fortunately. Dr. Hendler-Goldberg was thorough with her explanations and her notes.

It was my first time seeing Dr. Goldberg. I took my 73 year old Mother who is losing her eyesight. The entire team was polite, patient, understanding and extremely helpful. My mother is visiting from Jamaica and was a little nervous but we are both happy we went to see Dr. Goldberg. She was very thorough and explained everything to my Mom and I so we could understand. She even called us with more information regarding my Mother’s situation. We are so grateful and will never forget the experience. She genuinely cares about her patients.

Dr. Goldberg was professional and thorough in her examination. She took her time and I did not feel rushed.She reviewed the plan related to my diagnosis and we spoke about follow up. This was my first appointment with Dr. Goldberg and I was very pleased.

Dr. Hendler-Goldberg is a competent physician. She only does testing and only changes your prescription when necessary. She prefers to monitor things rather than excessively test. However, the wait time today was ridiculous! I always get morning appointments because eye appointments are notoriously long. Today I sat in the waiting room for over an hour! The appointment itself was quick, but the wait was terrible! Only 2 other patients were waiting when I arrived. Apparently, there were two doctors working today, and they are only using two rooms. However, the medical assistant could have at least started a portion of my exam. I know we are in a pandemic, but I have been to several doctor's offices, and I never have to wait this long: pre and during the pandemic. They wanted patients to call the office upon arrival, but they didn't tell me that beforehand, I just saw a note on the door because the door was locked. I called the number, but it wasn't working. So I had to knock on the door. I will give this office one more chance next year (hopefully, the pandemic will be over by then) because I like my doctor, but if I experience wait time like this again after that, I will go elsewhere.

It was a very pleasant experience. The Dr was definitely polite and caring. The staff was excellent, too. I spent the most time with the tech, and she was wonderful - absolutely awesome. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get any answers as to why my medical condition is occurring. The Dr is referring me to another specialist. I booked this appointment to see a specialist. I had no idea I would have to go see another specialist. Maybe my case was one of a kind.

There is always a little bit of a wait at the NYEE, but not as bad as other eye doctors I've been too. Plus, all of the medical staff are friendly and work together well in your care. Dr. Hendler-Goldberg also apologized for getting backed up with appointments which I appreciated. Overall I receive good care, and I trust her, she only changes my prescription if I really need it. Also, she makes sure to evaluate my health record even after I discussed everything with the medical assistant.
