Dr. Karen’s office is first off beautiful and her staff is just as super. The doctor her self is very professional with great bedside manners. She took her time with with explaining my pathologies and on working on a solution. Look forward to seeing her again.

Dr. Karen is amazing! She is knowledgeable, patient, thoughtful and kind. She is not an alarmist and gives each case so much thought. In fact, my child loves her so much she’s decided she wants to be an eye Dr. “just like Dr. Karen”! Great with all aged children, even teens!!!

Dr. Karen Perekalsky is a licensed optometrist who provides comprehensive family vision and eye care services. She has extensive training and over 10 years of experience in the treatment and management of ocular diseases, such as dry eyes, conjunctivitis, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and many more. Dr. Perekalsky is passionate about helping people see clearly and takes great pride in her work and care of her patients.
Dr. Perekalsky received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Russian literature from Brandeis University in 1999 and her Doctorate of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry in 2006. After graduation, Dr. Perekalsky completed a one year fellowship in cornea disease and contact lens management in NYC. Her advanced training in complicated contact lens fittings allows her to treat patients with irregular corneas and complex prescriptions. She has also successfully fit thousands of patients with both soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses for presbyopia (multifocal/monovision), astigmatism, myopia and hyperopia prescriptions.
Dr. Perekalsky became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 2009 and served as an adjunct clinical professor @ SUNY Optometry school from 2012-2014.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, raising her twins, traveling, dancing and photography.

Dr Karen is awesome! This was my 2nd time seeing her and I wont go to anyone else. My 1st visit was last yr when she fixed my contact lens issues, which my previous dr dismissed.
Dr. Karen is extremely thorough, listens, cares and makes the entire eye exam experience very comfortable.
I have recommended her to my family, friends and coworkers.
