Kari holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a nursing degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She earned her Master's in Family Nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles. After completing her education, she moved from Los Angeles to Denver, where she met her husband. Kari is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She has special interests and expertise in pediatrics, lactation consulting, supporting new parents, women's health, preventive care, nutrition, and travel medicine.
When not working, Kari enjoys running, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her husband and two sons. She is passionate about traveling the world and learning about other cultures. Kari has volunteered as a nurse practitioner treating both adults and children in Uganda, Vietnam, India, and the Dominican Republic.

Dr. Waddell was kind, professional, and easy to work with. The whole staff made my visit bearable, which is saying a lot given my fear of doctors' visits. I do wish they had made more of an effort to ask and use my pronouns, but all in all, I felt safe and respected. Definitely would recommend!

I went to see her today due to some issues regarding my menstrual cycle. I was trying to book a gynecologist but their dates were booked too far out. At my visit I specifically said I did not want birth control as that is just a mask over problems. She then proceeded to tell me how IUD’s and other birth control are a way to manage my issues. I did not feel heard. She did refer me to a gynecologist which I appreciate. The staff was friendly, clean, and seemed like a great environment. The techs who took my vitals and did a blood draw were very friendly and made me feel welcomed.

Kari is incredible. I have a lot of things going on and she is committed to tackle them all. Great listener and she cares! We have a clear plan forward and that is a first for me! The rest of the staff is equally exceptional. I am truly looking forward to going through this process and feel Kari and staff will get me through this finally. Beyond pleased!
