I went in for a gynecological exam, I suffer from cysts on my ovaries. After an initial consultation he took me in for a transvaginal ultra-sound where he was inappropriate the entire time, making a joke about why he put a condom on the wand they use and proceeding to tell me "not to make that face" because it made HIM uncomfortable. I was unaware I was there to provide him comfort. After this he then said (unprompted) that if I had unprotected sex everyday for a year there was a 99% chance I would not get pregnant. What a great way to tell a young lady she won't have children. All in all it was horrifying.

Dr. Norris is by far the best OB-GYN I have ever gone to. His staff is bright and welcoming. I will definitely only be coming back to his office for consultations. He is patient and thorough, Not only did he help identify the reasons for my health problem, but he also educated me on why they occur and how my lifestyle could have contributed to the illness. Prior to coming in, I had gone through 4 other OB-GYNs for the same issue, but none were willing to do full panel evaluations during the examination, so I went in fairly anxious about my health. Dr. Norris quickly put my mind at ease with logical explanations of why I shouldn't be so worried. He never made me feel like I was being rushed out of the facility and provided a very comfortable environment during my physical. I was able to get results and subsequently a prescription right away (I've always had to wait at least a day to get a prescription)! He is a great Doctor and I will definitely be recommending him to friends and family!

He is a very kind man and probably a better fit for some other patients. I saw him twice for gyno issues and spoke with him on the phone a couple times. It was difficult communicating my symptoms to him. I didnt feel that he was really listening to my point of view. He seemed to be attached to his hunches. He explained very simple concepts to me multiple times as if I was a child (im a 26 year old, well spoken woman). I do appreciate that he had some out of the box ideas about what could be causing my missed periods. However, I will definitely be seeking a second opinion.

Absolutely wonderful visit. Office staff is very sweet and personable. Dr. Norris spoke to me for 30 entire minutes in his office before the exam and addressed every single concern I could possibly think of. I have never had a Dr. care and be as thorough as he is. Bed side manner is wonderful, we even laughed quite a bit. Actually excited to go back, never thought i would say that about a gyno!

This is a bit of a delayed review, but my experience with Dr. Norris has been wonderful so far! He was very thorough during my visit and made sure to address all of my concerns. A few days after my initial visit, I had a bit of a situation with my iud (it ended up having to be removed), and even though I called after office hours he was very prompt in getting right back to me and letting me come in right away even though it was Friday and they were closed. His wife, who works at the office with him, is also very sweet and really put me at ease during the removal. He also made sure to follow up with me on the phone when they reopened again on Monday which was great. Overall I have been very happy so far and will most definitely continue to go here in the future. If you're looking for a kind-hearted, thorough doctor who really seems to care about his patients, I most definitely recommend Dr. Norris!

First of all, Dr. Norris is an absolute rip-off - he charges way more than other great doctors for the same services. (I also received a bill for some lab results that is also astronomical.) But the real reason for this review is his manner of discussing medical issues. He brought up physical attributes that were not pertinent in any way to my health, I felt just to make me uncomfortable in his attempt to be funny. It was absolutely unprofessional and has not sat well with me. A man his age should really know better.

Dr. Norris is one of the world's rare doctors who still takes time to get to know his patients and genuinely cares about their health and wellbeing. He doesn't cut corners, and if you tell him you're worried about something, he wants to get to the bottom of it just as much as you do! I am very picky about my doctors (how they greet me, if they talk down to me or speak respectfully, if they make eye contact, if they are prompt to respond to questions, etc.) and Dr. Norris is a 10 out of 10 in absolutely every way. I adore him!

I have never honestly had a doctor sit down with me in an office (not while I'm awkwardly sitting on the exam table in a paper thin gown), talk about my life, concerns, goals- it was like he truly cared about my well being. I was very impressed by Dr. Norris. He was very thorough in assessing me and very knowledgeable about my particular concerns. He listened to and answered my many questions patiently, asked many of his own questions about my background, and overall I left with the sense that he has my best interests at heart. I also appreciated his humility and lack of arrogance and easiness to talk to about difficult subjects. He is not one of those male doctors who just writes everything off as normal PMS. I got a fascinating education in thyroid levels, and Dr. Norris made my pelvic exam easy, at times both informative and comical. Overall, I was very impressed and will definitely return!
As a side plus, his staff is super friendly, flexible with bookings, and very supportive, and his office building in Beverly Hills is gorgeous!

I really wanted to like this OBGYN, and had high hopes that this would be the one I go to forever (I just moved to LA).
But the experience was awful. The staff (including Dr. Norris) failed to close the door while I changed out and into my clothing, when we were conducting the pre-exam questions, and during the exam itself. I felt violated that other people could potentially hear my responses to the pre-exam questions and my diagnosis post exam. Also I felt like someone could walk in on me getting the exam at any time with the door partially open!
They also didn't even have the courtesy to knock on the door before coming into the room when I was changing!
I'm very low maintenance when it comes to expectations, but these simple things made it an all around extremely uncomfortable experience. I've even received things like this (knocking on the door before entering and closing the door respectfully) at a local free clinic!

My visit with Dr. Karl Norris was a pleasure! EVERYONE in the office responded to my needs with so much kindness which is something you are not very used to in doctor's offices. I was truly touched by the care and attention. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Norris is truly a gem. He is thorough & takes his time to listen during your appointment. Having his mobile number during my pregnancy & knowing that I could contact him for any reason definitely lessened my anxiety. This is hands down the best OBGYN office I have been to. I have always felt in great hands from nurse to Dr. If you are looking for an intimate experience where you feel like this is your own private practice, then this is the office to go to.

Dr. Norris is an amazing and thorough doctor! He has a lot of experience, and is an extremely knowledgable physician! he delivered me 33-years ago and now will be delivering my child in 7 months. There is a good reason I have stayed with him over all of these years.
