Dr. Kartik Ananth brings a unique background to his approach on patient care. He completed both a residency in Psychiatry as well as an ACGME accredited fellowship in Pain Medicine at USC. He is one of the few Pain Specialists in the country that has a background in neuropsychiatry as well as interventional pain medicine. He continuously strives to formulate the most innovative and effective treatments for each of his patients incorporating a mind body amalgamation. After attending medical school, Dr. Ananth finished his Psychiatry residency at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. Dr. Ananth further advanced his training by completing a specialized Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Ananth previously worked in private practice as well as in the urgent care setting.
Dr. Ananth is dedicated to provide the most advanced interventional pain management and spine techniques for his patients. He has performed procedures on numerous challenging pain management cases using Neuromodulation techniques. Some of these cases include Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS), Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (PNS), and Trans-Cranial Magnetic Stimulation. His focus is to utilize the latest minimally invasive techniques to identify the source of pain and decrease pain, increase functioning, as well as improve quality of life.
Dr. Ananth firmly believes in listening to his patients and taking the time to ensure that they fully understand their condition and treatment options. Dr. Ananth treats each of his patients with sincere compassion and has an unparalleled bedside manner.
When he is not treating patients at the Southern California Pain Institute, in addition to research, Dr. Ananth spends his free time

Dr. Ananth is the best pain doc I have ever had the good fortune of being tteated by. He is accurate, detail oriented and thorough. His bedside manner is fantastic, he demonstrates empathy for his patients and is extremely adept when administering shots or performing other intricate procedures.
