Following this, Dr. Baumann earned her Master of Science in population health research at Boston University in 2023 while completing a general academic pediatrics fellowship at Boston Medical Center the same year. Dr. Baumann’s scholarly interests have focused on community engagement and patient-centered programs addressing nutrition education, food insecurity and health communication with a focus on patient empowerment and health literacy. She has also studied access to and equity of telemedicine services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Baumann is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Academic Pediatric Association.
