Everything was smooth and fast at this appointment. The receptionist was wonderful, confirmed my info and gave me paperwork to fill out. I was called back right after giving my paper forms back to the receptionist. The nurse was super friendly and personable! She was funny too! Then Dr. Joyce came back, did her exam, and was fun to talk to as well. Great appointment!

Everyone that I met was incredibly nice. My appointment was during the snowstorms last year, so I called a few times to reschedule and then make sure there was plowed parking available - they were very accommodating every time we spoke.

I had two visits with Dr. Joyce. During the first visit, she was texting her teenage daughter. Her examination was rough (painful) and she seemed distracted/hurried. I went in to have my IUD removed, and to have a new one inserted. She couldn't find it, and referred me to have a vaginal ultrasound, which was an incredibly unpleasant experience that confirmed the IUD was exactly where it was supposed to be. With that news in hand, I returned to have it removed, and even though it had only been a few weeks since our visit, she had no idea who I was (and had clearly not looked at the chart -- she told me that she couldn't do the procedure without a PAP smear, which she had done at the prior appointment and the results of which were right on top in the chart). During that visit, she could easily find it and removed it (which was very painful), and she seemed surprised and put out that I wanted a new one inserted. She inserted a new one, but she didn't have me take advil in advance or give me any at the time of (and I was in a lot of pain). Thankfully, the nurse took care of me, but I experienced a lot of bleeding between the appointment and home (bled through my pants -- completely ruined them) and from what I've been told, that was likely due to the roughness of her exam/removal. The last straw for me was that she didn't go through any of the risks or give me any information about the IUD. After inserting it, she handed me an informed consent form (that should have been given to me prior to the procedure) and told me to sign it (even though she hadn't given me *any* information about it). I was in a lot of pain and just wanted to leave, so I signed it, but I really should not have (and Dr. Joyce should not have put me in that position).

I will never be retuning to this office after just one visit. I was recommend Kathleen from my primary care physician based on her being knowledgeable, nice and progressive. I was extremely excited for this visit because I have recently stopped my pill birth control and started a different form of birth control. So I stated out the visit on a good note. Her front desk staff was very nice and professional. I waited for about 45 minuets before I was seen (typical of a OBGYN office). I was first seen by the nursing assistant who was very sweet. When it finally came to Kathleen seeing me she seemed to be somewhere else while she was talking to be. She was also completely uninterested in my new for of birth control and of me. She made me fell like I was bothering her by just being there. Also I had questions I wanted to ask her but because she brushed my off so much I didn't get a chance. Also while she was doing my pap smear I do not think she even took a look inside my vagina. This probably was my fault for scheduling so late in the day. But I will never go back and never recommend that woman ever!
