About Dr. Alice Shin
For 20 years, I have taken pride in providing OB/GYN care to patients across the country. I enjoy guiding patients through their pregnancy journeys, delivering babies, and creating mothers, fathers, parents, and families. I believe in empowering them to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. I am committed to providing personalized care that considers and respects each patient's individual needs.
After graduating from Stanford University with a degree in biology, I received my medical degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. I completed OB/GYN residency at Washington University in St. Louis and became Board Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). Since then, I have cared for patients at a private practice in Georgia, built a full-service OB/GYN practice at Beth Israel-Milton, and was a provider at Brigham and Women’s Harbor Medical Associates. While practicing in Massachusetts, I spent several years sharing my expertise at Harvard Medical School as an Instructor in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
I provide a wide range of obstetric and gynecologic care. I specialize in low and high risk pregnancies, breast and pelvic exams, and common gynecologic problems. I have extensive experience with both open and minimally invasive gynecological surgeries. My other areas of interest include sexual health, fertility, uterine fibroids, vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis and menopause.
I now deliver babies and do surgeries at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA, where I have found a nice balance between the intimacy of private practice and an exciting academic setting close to home. I enjoy creating long-term relationships with my patients that allow me to care for them during every stage of life.
(Please note: I cannot provide telehealth visits to patients who are outside Massachusetts during the appointment. Self-pay patients are required to present accepted insurance or full payment at the visit.)

Dr. Shin was amazing and treated me with such care. OB appointments can be scary, especially IUD insertions. She talked me through the entire process and her office provided ibuprofen and a hot compress for me to take home for cramps.

Dr. Shin was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable and calming and walked through every step of the IUD replacement procedure with me. Critically, she provided pain management, which should become the standard of care for all Ob-gyns for this procedure. The office also allows patients to bring 1 visitor with them into the exam room.
