Kathryn J. Russell, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon. She grew up in Sarasota, Florida and graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with cum laude honors. She received her medical degree from the University of Florida’s College of Medicine and completed an internship in Internal Medicine from the University of California San Diego. She received her dermatology training at New York Medical College in New York City, where she was honored to serve as chief resident. She completed her postresidency fellowship training in Mohs and Procedural Dermatology from the Skin Institute of South Florida. During this time, she performed or assisted in approximately 1,500 Mohs cases with a wide range of complexity.
She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.

This is a professional office that appears to be timely. I would recommend this office. My only criticism would be to have a receptionist that smiled and seemed to project some caring. The receptionist was unsmiling and very cold....making the first impression bad.

What a great first experience, friendly staff, I arrived early to fill out the usual forms, was greeted before I was finished by med tech to go back to exam room. Doctor saw me promptly, reviewed my concerns, was able to address issue right then vs scheduling another appointment. Managed my expectations for test results. Very professional staff, easy to get an appointment and follow up, love early appointments.

Dr. Russell has a very professional bedside manner. Thorough examination. Exactly what I hoped I would receive. As I mentioned during the exam I just moved to the area and am accustomed to a totally integrated health care experience. I am fortunate to have found Dr. Russell.
