He is very smart and diagnosed my problem right away and knew just what I needed. Friendly staff. A pleasure to deal with.
Verified patient
He seemed very knowledgable. He recommended a treatment option that was less invasive that what other doctor's recommended.
They did not have my appointment on their schedule. Evidently they are having issues getting the adornments from Zoc Doc.

I was very impressed with both Dr. Ward and with his office staff. They were all very friendly and professional.
I had my 6 year old in to be seen. Dr Ward had a good bedside manner with a child. And also with me the parent.
I was given a thorough examination and given many options for a speedy and safe recovery I am very grateful

Staff is so helpful. I had so many questions and they answered all of them. Dr. Ward is so nice and caring.
Dr Ward takes a real caring interest in his patients.. He is a top doc with years of excellent record.
Verified patient
Very knowledgeable and professional. Not to mention how fast my husband was seen! Penaloza Family

First time visit means lots of paperwork to fill out otherwise my wait time was normal.
Verified patient
Accomplished all goals of the visit. Game plan for the future discussion.
Great visit. Dr. Ward was knowledgeable, personable and professional

He was very knowledgeable and professional. An experienced provider
Verified patient
Very rushed, the doctors alternate says so there's only 1 doctor.
Excellent Professional.

Front desk was rude.. Not even good morning! Asked for my X-ray copy so I wouldn't have to return or could they be mailed and clerk stated they had no envelopes to mail anything... Really???
Dr. Ward was very professional and very thorough. I did not feel rushed. He explained things in a clear fashion. I would recommend Dr. Ward.

I made a same day appointment (less than an hour from registration at ZocDoc to sitting in the office) and was amazed. The office was crowded but everything was kept moving - from filling out the registration paperwork to being in the treatment room. Dr Ward was very pleasant, took his time to explain my problem including pictures of my injury. He was able to give me a variety of treatment options and I felt he worked with my concerns and unique situation. I would not hesitate to see him again (and have a follow up appt next month)

Exelent service great doctor

I am sure Dr. Ward is very competent but his manner is lacking in compassion and kindness. Sometimes it might be a good thing to talk to patients after what they perceive to be a devastating diagnosis to their career prospects and way of life. I am not going back there.

We were happy to learn that our son's sport injury hopefully will not require surgery. We felt the doctor was honest, and looking out for our son's best interest. Suited him up with a brace and crutches, and note to excuse from PE and with a follow up in two weeks. We are cautiously optimistic.
I felt seen & heard. Everyone [staff] seemed to be present . . . I was greeted with good morning. Yes, that's important to me. It relieves my anxiety during my visit . . .
Friendly, knowledgable but very brief.
He was very optimistic about an injury that I thought was going to change my lifestyle. I am very happy about the result of my visit and am looking forward to the follow up visit.

Well I hate going to Doctors but some times I have to.. The staff was helpful and friendly. Dr Ward got right to business and found my injury in know time. With all his years of knowledge it was a walk in the park.. Made me feel great already. Did his job and wished me a safe upcoming trip.. Thank You Dr. Ward

Friendly folks, Good doctor, out in 1 and a half hour even though the office was packed when I got there Would definitely recommend him

Have not had the surgery yet, but loved the office experience. We had insurance issues and they were very helpful with that, the wait was only a few minutes and my daughter is a new patient. Very professional, listened, answered questions. Great experience.

My overall visits have improved tremendously. It feels a little bit more like a health professional office. Staff seems to be more friendly, warm & welcoming. I don't feel the disconnect I initially felt when walking in the door after many years. I would have to give the staff an A for the efforts & shifts that have occurred.
I had only a 5 minute wait before seeing Dr. Ward. I was in and out within 45 minutes and that included x-rays. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Ward's diagnosis and treatment, however his bedside manner could use some work. He is not very personable and seemed rather rushed.
I find my visits to be impersonal, rushed & lack of guidance or substantial information. I was given a prescription, was told it was expensive, & wasn't sure if my insurance would reimburse the practice or myself. Therefore, I needed to make a decision as to what I was willing to incur. I went home & did some research & was able to find the prescription cheaper than initially quoted. Although, still pricey. . . I called my carrier & found out the prescription needed to be pre-authorized & the doctor's office needed to call to get the process going. Well, I think the office should have inquired with my carrier before sending me out to do the research myself. I called the doctor's office back & provided the information I received from my carrier. For me, this is an example of poor customer [patient] service.
Great service! Friendly staff.
Reception cold & impersonal. I didn't appreciate having to wait 1.5 before being seen. Seeing the Dr., x-rays, consultation, & treatment . . . I didn't get out of the office until noon. For me that's unacceptable when I had a confirmed appointment. If I walked in, I would expect to wait until the Dr. was available.
Professional, reviewed symptoms and listened to me then offered treatment options before providing his opinion. Told me what to do as followup
Dr. Ward is a highly experienced orthopedic surgeon (2013). I played rugby with him in the early seventies when he was a surgical resident at GW Medical School. He was fast then, and he is fast now in his surgical diagnosis/procedures when he needs it. Professor Moriarty (ebook author on Amazon.com).

An expert in his field.
He was great and honest

This was my final visit with Dr. Ward. He was treating me for a broken bone in my foot. This visit I was brought in right away. My wait time for all my visits was less than 30 minutes. His bedside manner is great. You can only use my initials not my name in this review.
Dr Ward diagnosed my orthopedic issues, then took the time to explain the options on how to address those issues. Excellent doctor visit!
Dr Ward is a long-recognized expert on orthopedic medicine in Woodbridge, VA. He gave me straight-forward, conservative advice on knee problems.
I have always had confidence in his ability to diagnose and treat my injuries...HIs office could be updated. The office furniture was not desirable to sit on... Would recommend him as a Doctor but not the office space..
Good advice. X-Rays on site was nice.
I BELIEVE THAT MY KNEES' PROBLEM SHALL RESOLVED!!
aside from the long wait time ( they were having trouble with a new scheduling system) I think the doctor and his staff were courteous, professional and more than met my expectations.
He should have been a little more though.
good- accomplished what intended
I thought he was very personable and was wonderful with my 5 year old daughter who had fractured her arm in an accident at school. I was so happy to find an appointment for Monday during the weekend via zocdoc.com for the first time. This is a great service and it gave me peace of mind to be able to schedule an appointment for Monday ahead of time rather than having to wait until Monday to call all around to find an opening.
He had a straight-talk approach, but sincere bed-side manner. He answered questions, had a full explanation of what was going on, and a seemingly paternal, no non-sense yet kind manner.
