I was very pleased. The office staff was friendly and extremely well organized. There was a wheelchair available for my use. Dr Kirk was really knowledgeable as to what was causing my vision problems. Overall a very pleasant experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thank you Zocdoc for finding Dr Kirk for me.

Dr. Kent Kirk specializes in laser vision correction procedures, such as LASIK (Laser Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis), PRK (photorefractive keratectomy) and Intacs, as well as Conductive Keratoplasty. Dr. Kirk also performs small-incision cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation (including ReZoom, ReStor and Crystalens).
An Illinois Native, Dr. Kent Kirk earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. He received medical training through an internship at Evanston Hospital in Evanston and an ophthalmic residency at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. In addition, Dr. Kirk has served as a clinical associate professor in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago.
A board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Kent Kirk also is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He maintains additional memberships in the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery; the Chicago Ophthalmological Society; and the American College of Eye Surgeons; and the Council for Refractive Surgery Quality Assurance.

My viisit with Dr. Kent Kirk was great!!!! This was my first visit with Dr. Kent Kirk, himself. When I was growing up as a kid, my doctor was Harold Kirk, his father and he did many surgeries on my eyes, as I was born cross eyed and he did a faboulous job. I was able to share this information with Dr. Kent Kirk & to Thank the family again for taking care of this issue and my eyes look faboulous!!!! My visit was very welcoming and pleasant!!!! MY sister also had her lasor surgery with the Kent family and is so thrilled with the results!!! My niece had an appointment around the same time I did and my family admires and we put all of our trust in the Kent family!!!!!! Thanks to the Kent Family!!!

There was a lot of "waiting" time. Several different associates did preliminary evaluations (not a problem), but had to wait in between each test and then to see Dr. Kirk. I was actually with the Dr. for less than 10 minutes, but time in office was about 2 hours.
