Dr. Bhat is a phenomenal doctor. I highly recommend him! He is remarkably patient and calming, and his bedside manner truly puts you at absolute ease. While wait times can, at times, be long, this is clearly because Dr. Bhat takes the time to sit with each of his patients and explain everything thoroughly. Regardless of the purpose of your visit, Dr. Bhat will make sure to prioritize you and all your questions, concerns, and so on. He is a very gentle examiner, and he gives very helpful advice and general steps for healthier and more effective GI management. He also plays very soothing classical music in his office and procedure rooms, and his staff is cheerful, friendly, and kind. I have had two procedures with Dr. Bhat within a month, with several pre and post visits, and everything went smoothly. I will absolutely be returning to Dr. Bhat in the future! Thank you, Dr. Bhat!

I’d never choose to visit Dr. Bhat again. His bedside manner as a gastroenterologist is very unprofessional, if not borderline harassment. He doesn’t even wear gloves when he examined patient. His nurse is not nearby in the same room when he raised the request to examine me with pants off. He asked few very weird questions regarding my relationship status and sexual behavior which usually doesn’t come up in the normal interview. Since then, I have visited another clinic. None of these requests or questions came up, which gave me confidence that it’s not part of a standard/routine.

Dr. Bhat was great! He was very kind and patient with my health concerns. My endoscopy was done with no complications. I was worried that my throat was going to hurt afterwards, but I experienced zero pain. Overall, I was very happy about my doctor’s visit. I would recommend Dr. Bhat to anyone.

My first visit with Dr. Bhat was fine, he gave me some guidelines and asked to schedule another appointment for an endoscopy. He did not explain in person any of the rules for me to follow before my endoscopy, and also did not make it clear that there would be a pamphlet given to me with my checkout forms that would explain the rules. When I got to my second appointment he berated me for not following the rules (I drank a seltzer water.. otherwise I had fasted), and when I expressed some hesitation to go through with the procedure he yelled at me and told me I was being a baby. I told him I was not comfortable receiving the procedure and left immediately. I was shocked by the treatment I received, It was honestly unbelievable. Would not recommend.

I had an excellent visit with Dr. Bhat. Based on the other reviews I was prepared for the wait time, which doesn't bother me because he clearly takes his time with each patient and the staff was attentive. However the waiting area is cramped and hectic. Dr. Bhat's office, though, is comfortable and clean and he is extremely thorough with a kind, easy bedside manner.
November 13, 2017Rebecca P.Verified patient
My main problem with Dr. Bhat is that either he or his staff does not have enough time to properly screen potential patients (or they just have the wrong procedures in place). I booked my grandmother an appointment with Dr. Bhat for a second opinion on a very serious diagnosis that she received from another doctor. I also called the morning before the appointment to find out if I needed to know or do anything in light of the fact that I was coming in for a second opinion from another doctor. I was told that we would have to fill out paper work when we showed up. However, when we showed up, Dr. Bhat decided that it would be a bad idea for him to provide the second opinion because he wasn't affiliated with the hospital at which my grandmother received her first opinion, and the whole process would therefore take too long.
This may have been a smart move medically that probably saved my grandmother some time and headache, but it would have been better if someone from the office had reached out to me ahead of time to talk about the constraints that the doctor faces when performing second opinions.

The wait was bad. I came early to check in but I still have to wait an hour and a half.
I was also nervous because the waiting room was dirty. The bathroom was dirty. Before I went in to see the doctor they put me right outside his office and you could hear everything thing the patient and doctor were saying inside which really made me uncomfortable.
When I walked into Dr. Bhat's office it was like a whole new world. His office was immaculate compared to the waiting area. It was spacious and cozy. His bedside manner was incredible. He took his time with me even though my problem was not serious and it was getting late in the day. His information also fixed my problem and I haven't needed a follow up!

He is a thorough Dr., but the wait time is long. The office is shared so it was a bit busy in the waiting area. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I had to still fill out forms and give insurance card even though I did all that on Zocdoc. He has a holistic approach that may not be right for me.

Dr. Bhat has been an excellent choice for a gastro! I've been dealing with hemorrhoids for a number of years, and he performed an IRC treatment of his own brand, which after round 1 has proven very successful! Honestly night and day, and the recovery was short of a few weeks. Dr. Bhat was very relaxed to communicate with, and his confidence in the work made me feel at ease. I don't get too nervous during medical procedures, and he gave me no reason to feel differently. Only drawback of the office is the wait time... definitely book early, or expect to get some reading done!

I would absolutely not return or recommend this office. The staff is rude, and it seems like they book appointments without even looking at a calendar. Don't waste your time.
February 8, 2016Destiny E.Verified patient
Dr. Bhat is an excellent physician. Takes time to listen to all of your symptoms, is caring and concerned for your overall health and well being, not just diagnosing to prescribe endless medications that don't actually treat you. He is a good man.

Receptionist wouldnt open the schedule to confirm my appointment. Was seen 2 hours after scheduled appointment and office tells me that's to be expected. Didnt have any patients with my problem. Wanted to push an invasive endoscopy procedure as a first step even though "it probably wouldn't tell us anything"
May 25, 2015Taylor H.Verified patient
The office staff was unprofessional and unorganized. Waited a hour and a half and would not have been seen when I was If I had not complained. Took a chance in scheduling a colonoscopy with the doctor because he seemed satisfactory and have now been waiting hour and half for the procedure. Several other patients are also waiting. Apparently we have all been booked at the same time. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!!!!

The waiting area and vitals room is gross and feels unprofessional. The other doctors in the practice were running around looking for keys and searching for technicians, it felt like disorganized chaos, I almost left. But, once you go back and see Dr. Bhat, his personal office is clean and organized and I can see why he doesn't venture to the front of the office. He listened to me, and took the time to really evaluate what was going on. I never felt rushed, he seems to really care about patients and his job. I definitely recommend him!
