About Dr. Laura Frado
Dr. Laura Frado brings extensive experience to her role at New York Gastroenterology Associates. With a thorough training including a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Rochester, Dr. Frado proudly looks after the New York, NY community. Gastroenterology being her primary focus, she was awarded her medical degree at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. After her graduation, she also completed a residency in internal medicine at the Columbia University, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Frado is a member of many medical societies including, the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Gastroenterology Association. A board-certified physician by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she has authored numerous journal publications in her field of specialty and has given many presentations at professional society meetings. Outside of her practice she enjoys, running, hiking, traveling, yoga, and cooking.
Dr. Frado is uncompromising in her dedication to the well-being of her patients and approaches patient care with compassion and positivism. She encourages open communication with her patients which allows her to guide them through their treatment as an active participant in their own well-being.
