What should a new client know about working with you?

I practice treating the whole person using a culturally sensitive lens, not just one issue they are facing. Your mental health is connected to every piece of your life because your thoughts, emotions, and even physical sensations are guided by your mind. When you come to me for care, you will benefit from the expertise of a sensitive, compassionate, and highly skilled mental health specialists that will tailor treatment to your individual needs. I can find the best medication that alleviates your suffering with minimal to no side effects whilst also enhancing your coping skills so that you don’t have to be dependent on medications to feel wholesome. I generally incorporate psychotherapy in conjunction with medication for optimum outcomes. My integrative approach of recommending lifestyle modifications including dietary changes, promoting physical wellness, herbal supplementation and therapy can enhance the mind-body connection and overall wellbeing when clinically appropriate. I will offer traditional and integrative options, to suit your values. Your comfort is my priority, and you are collaboratively involved in each step of the process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Initial consultations for new clients are 60 minutes and include a full diagnostic assessment and treatment plan. A thorough history will be collected and at the conclusion of the visit, provider will offer an assessment, recommendations and formulate a treatment plan. At times this may include referral to another treatment setting. Medications are not always prescribed during the initial visit. After an initial evaluation, visits of 30 or 60 minutes (depending on complexity) happen approximately monthly (every 4 to 6 weeks, occasionally more or less often), as is appropriate for your current interventions. Visits provide monitoring, education, evaluation of change, progression, and momentum. They are also an opportunity for brief solution based psychotherapy.

Don’t see your insurance?

It’s common for mental health providers to be out-of-network. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network coverage, so you may get partially reimbursed. Learn more

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $300 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $150-250 for 30 minutes
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
  • Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront

More information on payments and coverage

Fees are due in full at the time of service. You may request an invoice with the appropriate diagnostic information and services to obtain reimbursement from your insurance company. Services may be covered in full or in part by the client’s health insurance or the employee benefit plan’s out-of-network benefits. If we are out of network, We will charge you before services are rendered and we will provide a session invoice and the insurance will reimburse the client directly. The insurance deductible you are responsible for varies depending on the plan. If you have a high annual deductible and you have limited or no other medical expenses that year, then you would be responsible for paying fees out-of-pocket before your standard copay applies. Some insurance companies have excellent out-of-network benefits, and in some cases your out-of-network benefits may be comparable to a standard copay you would pay to see an in-network psychiatric provider. We are considered Out Of Network in the State of Washington.
