L. Deanna Howard, MD has been practicing since 1996 as a board certified gynecologist, working to bridge the gap between natural and conventional gynecology with a passion for using natural modalities in her clinical care.
Dr. Howard obtained a bachelor's degree in biology from NYU and a medical degree from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. She continued her education beyond traditional medical training with studies in meditation, aromatherapy, Reiki and Chi Gong. Completing studies at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the Teacher’s College at Columbia University, she was certified as a Health Counselor. She also completed the Clinical Homeopathy training course with the Center for Education and Development of Clinical Homeopathy.
Dr. Howard has practiced in New York and New Jersey for over 15 years and has hospital privileges at Beth Israel in Newark. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
In her holistic gynecology practice, Dr. Howard provides her patients with a system to gain control of chronic conditions, including healing food and lifestyle recommendations as a central part of each treatment plan.

Dr. Howard was very warm, respectful, and professional in her manner. She clearly believes in creating an emotionally safe environment for patients to voice concerns and questions about their health. I would recommend that new patients fill out paperwork online before their first appointment.
