More about Dr. Larry Overcash, MD
Dr. Overcash received his B.S. in Zoology, M.S. in Biology, and M.D. from the University of Illinois. Interning at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, he completed his residency as chief resident in 1986. Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, he is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
A member of the American Medical Association, Illinois State Medical Society and the Peoria Gynecologic Society, he has served several terms as Chairman of the Methodist Medical Center department of OB/GYN as well as serving on the curriculum committee. He maintains active staff privileges at OSF Saint Francis, Methodist Medical Center of Illinois, and Proctor Hospital. He also is on the board of directors at Peoria Day Surgical Center. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine mentoring medical students and residents.
Raised on a farm near Canton, Illinois, Dr. Overcash still enjoys farming with his father and brother. He is an avid hunter and most enjoys spending time outdoors with his two sons and daughter Luke, Ty, and Tess.
