As needed, Dr. Saul works with INDIVIDUAL children, adolescents, and adults as well as with COUPLES, PARENTS, and FAMILIES. His PSYCHOTHERAPEUTIC TECHNIQUE is eclectic and synergistic, combining a hands on, PRO-ACTIVE, and PRACTICAL approach with a psychodynamic, family systems, and biological/genetic UNDERSTANDING of each patient. MEDICATION can be an essential and life-changing COMPONENT of treatment when SYMPTOMS impair functioning but must be taken very seriously, particularly in children with developing brains. He considers the relevant RESEARCH and EVIDENCE BASE of potential benefits and risks. This enables the individual or parents to make a well-informed decision for treatment with the GOAL to MINIMIZE number, frequency, dosage, and duration of medications to obtain OPTIMAL REDUCTION of SYMPTOMS. Dr. Saul treats infants, children, adolescents, and adults with RELATIONSHIP problems including with Parents, Siblings, Spouses, Children, Peers, Teachers, and Colleagues/Employers/Employees. Common STRESSORS include Academic/Career Problems, Divorce, and Death of loved ones.
