I initially started out going to college for pharmacy and decided that was not for me. I switched to nutrition because I always had an interest in it, and ultimately knew that was what I wanted to do. I truly believe food is medicine and that a lot of health problems can be avoided and/or reversed with proper nutrition. I, myself, have actually struggled with familial hypercholesterolemia and weight issues since elementary school, so I'm not just another healthcare professional sending you on your way with more papers to read. I know firsthand how difficult it is to eat appropriately for your condition and I truly want to help people succeed. The satisfaction of achieving even the smallest goal is the biggest confidence booster! I completed my undergraduate degree at Penn State University and completed my dietetic internship through Iowa State University. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, my Goldendoodle Murray, reading my Kindle, and riding the Peloton.
