Very pleasant staff and Dr. Durso was kind! The only downside was the 1.5 hours I waited to be seen. The whole process took closer to 2 hours but Dr. Durso was very thorough and professional.

Dr. Durso incorporates the “old fashioned” way of practice with the latest evidence based medicine. She is passionate about supporting and empowering her patients to best self manage their own chronic disease and works closely with her patients to ensure that they have a good understanding of their health and have the tools and support needed to make healthy lifestyle changes.
Dr. Durso is experienced in caring for adults of all ages and treating acute and chronic problems including asthma, diabetes, hypertension, elevated cholesterol, thyroid disorders, mood disorders, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Dr. Durso is also a leader in Primary Care for Women and an advocate for women in medicine. She has extensive experience after working 11 years within the faculty group practices of 2 women’s health centers at 2 major NYC University Hospitals.
**Please note that not all insurance carriers cover an annual physical exam every year. It is the patient’s responsibility to cover the fee for the annual physical exam every year to be a part of Dr. Durso’s practice. Medicare does NOT cover an annual physical exam. The medicare annual wellness visit is NOT a physical exam.

This practitioner was not at all empathetic/sympathetic to patients with eating disorders and made very triggering comments with regard to my weight, BMI etc. I would have imagined with all of her education she would have learned about what could potentially trigger a spiral downward (binging, self harm) or conversely set off a pro Ana moment (where restricting and overexercising are employed ) I guess coming from the Psych world as a chosen profession and just from being an overall decent human being I make sure to learn what triggers set off different groups of people and make it my BUSINESS to never cause harm or upset them by spending the time and energy to know how to properly handle situations such as this one.

Waited over an hour and the office told me Zocdoc got my time wrong...which has never happened. In the future, please be honest with patients and just let them know your office is running late.
