Dr. Lloyd Hoffman, is a kind, understanding compassionate man. After asking a few specific questions about me, he understood the importance of the procedure for me. What it was doing to me emotionally along with my sense of self. When he explained what he would be doing in the procedure and why, I wept. He was the first plastic surgeon who actually understood me beyond the physical.
I know the upcoming surgery will be excellent!

More about Dr. Lloyd Hoffman, MD, FACS
Dr. Lloyd Hoffman completed his general surgery training at Cornell/New York Hospital and went on to fellowships in plastic surgery, hand surgery and microsurgery at the Institute for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at New York University. Dr. Hoffman returned to Cornell in 1987, to become the youngest division chief in the country. Under his leadership, the division expanded significantly, including the creation of the Cornell Hand Service and the Children’s Reconstructive Surgery Center. He was chosen to lead the first combined division when Cornell and Columbia merged to form The New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Hoffman has been recognized nationally and internationally for his surgical skills, published works and his ability to teach residents and students. While his accolades are numerous, Dr. Hoffman remains completely focused on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. On January 1, 2004 he stepped down from his position of Chief of the Combined Division of Plastic Surgery to devote himself entirely to patient care.
Dr. Hoffman has been involved in charitable endeavors throughout his remarkable career. These charities and organizations include the founding of the Children’s Reconstructive Surgery Center, working with patients at the Imus Cattle Ranch for Kids with Cancer and Healing Hands. Dr. Hoffman has operated on a number of children who have been victims of terrorism in the Middle East.

Dr. Hoffman is the most compassionate physician. Although my wound was relatively minor, I was treated with the utmost care. Dr. Hoffman was always available for consultation.

Dr. Hoffman was fantastic ! It is my pleasure to recommend Dr. Hoffman as a reconstructive surgeon. I was sent to Dr. Hoffman by my MOHS surgeon(also excellent) when the removal of a BCC on my nose left a more complicated "defect" than expected. The depth of the wound and its location near my nostril meant that closing the wound without distorting the nostril would be difficult. Dr. Hoffman came up with a closure solution that not only left no distortion of my nostril, but also healed so well that now-- three weeks later-- most people cannot even tell I have had a surgery! In addition to his excellent surgical skills, my husband and I found Dr Hoffman to be compassionate, accessible and caring; we both felt that I could have been in better hands throughout the surgical process. Dr. Hoffman's staff (especially Angela) was also terrific !
