Dr. Lloyd Runser is a family medicine doctor who brings broad scope family medicine experience and personal compassion to the treatment of individuals with hypothyroidism.
Dr. Runser has a special interest in the topic of hypothyroidism after walking alongside his wife through her journey with hypothyroidism. A journey of coming to the diagnosis of autoimmune hypothyroidism and celiac disease, navigating and implementing dietary and lifestyle modifications, and finding the right integrative and functional medicine therapies. His spouse's journey included overcoming infertility, dietary makeovers, lifestyle changes, and trips across the country to seek care. After walking through this journey with his spouse, his mind and practice have opened up to the healing potential of a holistic and individualized approach to healing and searching for the root causes of chronic conditions.
Dr. Runser is Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Board Certified in Family Medicine. He completed his residency training at Madigan Army Medical Center, his medical school at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH, and his undergraduate training at the United States Military Academy at West Point, magna cum laude with a chemistry and life sciences degree. Dr. Runser has worked as Assistant Program Director of the Novant Health Family Medicine Residency Program and the Womack Army Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program, and is currently a telemedicine physician in private practice.

Dr Runser was great. He’s the first doctor who has been willing to try to change what I have been doing unsuccessfully for the past 30 years. I’m looking forward to a better outcome.
