Dr. Lorraine Ofori-Awuah completed her undergraduate and medical education in Ghana. She then underwent her three year Internal medicine residency at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Towson, Maryland, an affiliate of the Johns Hopkins University Hospital.
She obtained her board certification in Internal Medicine in 2004. Dr. Ofori-Awuah has been in practice since 2004, and has a wide range of experience in in-patient, outpatient and nursing-home patient care.
She has a strong focus on preventive health and weight management. Dr Ofori-Awuah is the director of The Center for Medical Weight Loss program at White Marsh. She is a member of the Med-Chi Medical Society and the American College of Physicians

Dr. Ofori has a fabulous bedside manner and effectively answered all my questions. She was very patient with me and thorough in her review. She listened and asked questions. I never felt rushed and thought she looked for the best tests, scans and treatments for me.

She has no empathy what so ever. I was in desperate need of medication management till I could find a new psychiatrist and she just cut me off and said she couldn't help didn't even say goodbye or give any alternatives. She literally walked out of the exam room didn't say goodbye or were done and that was it. Very unprofessional. I wouldn't take my dog to her. I'd get better treatment from a veterinarian.

She doesn't listen to her patients. I was in pain and she had a sonogram on something that wasn't hurting me. When I asked for it on the right place she wouldn't give me an order to do that. I went to someone else.

I do no feel that the doctor listened to me or respected my concerns. This was a first time physical with her and she spent 10 minutes with me. I also asked if I could be retested for lymes and have my blood work sent to a different lab because I am still having symptoms. She told me she would not do any of that and my joint pain issues are probably depression and weight. Suggested I go to a psychiatrist.
