Lydia Shajenko MD PhD is a Board Certified Neurologist and Clinical Neurophysiologist that is new to the New Jersey area. She is currently on staff at Palisades General Hospital in North Bergen, NJ as well as at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ. Lydia Shajenko completed her medical school education at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT in 1997; receiving both M.D. and Ph.D. degrees. Her doctorate work involved studying the neurotoxic mechanisms of amyloidal beta-peptide in Alzheimer's Disease. She completed her Internship in General Surgery / Neurosurgery at the Medical College of Virginia, in Richmond, VA, and Residency Training in Neurology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NY in 2002. She completed her Fellowship Training in Clinical Neurophysiology at prestigious New York University in 2003.
