I'm fairly particular when it comes to doctors, and Dr. Mailloux is simply one of the best doctors I've ever seen. I came to her complaining of increasingly frequent chest pains, and the absolute thoroughness and expertise with which she led me through each of several stages of testing was exemplary.
At our first meeting, she took a great deal of time to ask me a wide range of preliminary questions and to answer all of mine (no matter how minute), and then she gently ran me through several tests, including an EKG. While she was pleased with the results, she told me she always prefers to be too thorough than not thorough enough, and so she recommended that I get a stress echocardiogram, which I readily agreed to. The day after this much more involved testing, she took the time to go over my results in exceptional detail by phone, even though she also sent them in paper form.
I cannot praise her expertise, professionalism, and bedside manner enough. I hope I won't need more than periodic checkups over the years, but either way, in Dr. Mailloux, I've found a cardiologist for life.
