I felt confident leaving his office with a treatment plan and a way forward. Discussed additional testing and when to have it done. Left with samples of meds, directions, lab work request, and other testing request.
Only con was he was rushed for my first visit but I figured it would be considering how many patients were in his waiting room.

Dr. Meelu is a triple board certified physician in Medical Oncology (cancer) and Hematology (blood disorders). A graduate of the prestigious University of the Punjab, Pakistan, Dr. Meelu served three years as missionary doctor in West Africa before coming to the United States.
He completed a three year internal medicine residency training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine affiliate, Elmhurst Hospital Center in New York, followed by three years of Medical Oncology and Hematology training at Winthrop University Hospital, Long Island New York.
Among his various accomplishments, including presentations at CME conferences, research activities, and currently serving as chairman of the Oncology/Hematology division at University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center, he is most proud of an invitation since 1997 by ABIM (American Board of Internal Medicine), at various times, to co-author or review for relevance, Hematology/Oncology board examination questions.

Way less than 30 minutes. Maybe 10 minutes. Good doctor, explains everything to you. Doesn’t rush if you have questions. Excellent front desk staff

Found out some disturbing info in the ER and was told to schedule and appointment with Hematologist quick. Was able to get on Zocdoc and schedule an ASAP appointment. Without going into detail i can honestly say that the visit from start to finish was Terrific! The front desk staff, the medical assistant, the lab area everything was great.

You sign in at the front desk and the wait is not long at least 15 mins or less. The nurse are very friendly, always helpful and the doctor the best one I have ever had. He listens to any problems I may have and he take care of it. The Cancer & Blood Treatment Center staff all work as a team and help each other to make this a nice place to come.

I've been a patient of Dr. Meelu's since 2005. When he treated me for colon cancer I have remained under his care since then and am doing well. His office & clinic are clean and well maintained. His nurses and staff are most friendly and accomodating. Your appointment time is the time you are seen which is most important for me.

Who could ask for a better team taking care of you. This is my second go around with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. The first tim I had a wonderful go around at U of MD. I was a little afraid of not being at one of the larger hospitals, but Cancer & Blood Disorders Treatment Center are an amazing group of people.
